Brutal news.

Thanks for the memories.

Re: Jimmy Rave has retired
I know he had (has?) his demons, but I always hoped he had another extended run in him, like Jimmy Jacobs or Whitmer. His 2005 Embassy stuff was obviously his peak in ROH, but his late 06 / early 07 stuff with the heel hook showed he wasn't one dimensional.
Re: Jimmy Rave has retired
Wishing him all the best. I'll throw a roll of toilet paper in his honor.
Re: Jimmy Rave has retired
Jimmy Rave was easily the best heel in ROH history. Underrated in the ring and on the mic. Sad news.

Apparently it's time for me to come clean. This past June I began having trouble walking & went to my surgeon. He determined I had MRSA in both legs & they needed to be amputated immediately.

American health insurance is just a scam to allow the workforce (trickling down from the government) to have leverage on non-affluent people.NewROHFan2020 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 4:15 pmYes, very sad he chose not to have health insurance and spent money on drugs when he was younger.supersonic wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 2:33 pm Gotta love the American healthcare system.

That you have no compassion for this person for succumbing to addiction (very likely due to being a victim of incestual pedophilia as one of the links in the Twitter feed details) but do for someone that threw his career away due to repeated malicious criminal sexual misconduct (and chooses to be vindictive towards those who have bravely spoken out against him rather than just walk away with a shred of dignity) speaks volumes about your moral character.
“Growing up was difficult because when I was five I was molested by an uncle. My mother was an alcoholic, and she died at the age of 34, so I really felt like I was on my own since I was 15.”
As a pro wrestler, Guffey became addicted to pain killers after being injured in a match. He became depressed and attempted suicide in 2009. Eventually, Guffey underwent treatment for drug addiction and learned many of his mental health issues stemmed from his past. Guffey uses his experience to help others at the center.

Who do I supposedly have compassion for? If you’re referring to Marty. I do not have compassion for him, if he did those things, then that’s what he gets. My issue with it all, is that you (and others) assume he is guilty because you read some tweets. Those are two very different things.supersonic wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 4:25 pmAmerican health insurance is just a scam to allow the workforce (trickling down from the government) to have leverage on non-affluent people.NewROHFan2020 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 4:15 pmsupersonic wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 2:33 pm Gotta love the American healthcare system.

As far as insurance being a “scam” by the government, okay. Obviously, you think you’re woke and smarter than the rest of us. I don’t like paying for insurance and I’m sure most people don’t. Doesn’t mean it’s a “scam”. Please do not link any “informative” blogs from wokenerds.com or whatever. I’m not interested in your thoughts about health insurance.

This is my friend you're talking about. A man who lived through some really awful, awful stuff and was never able to have the proper treatment needed for such traumas. Maybe you should seek some treatment of your own.NewROHFan2020 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 4:15 pmYes, very sad he chose not to have health insurance and spent money on drugs when he was younger.supersonic wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 2:33 pm Gotta love the American healthcare system.

Now that we've addressed the asshole with no pulse, this is the opportunity for ROH and their big bucks & big mouth management to do right by one of it's most loyal soldiers. Would be a great PR move as opposed to ya know offering comp tickets to the suite at MSG instead of a booking to former talents.

Health insurance is a scam. Shit is supposed to.cover your medical expenses yet when I had to make an ER visit in June over a broken foot I got a bill for $735 for what my insurance decided they didn't want to pay. And you know how fast that debt goes to a collection agency, wasn't even a month afterward and I got mail from a collection agency over it. Then when you ask your insurance and the facility where you recieved treatment about how that bill can be excused they act like you're speaking some ancient language to them.
Re: Jimmy Rave has retired
It sucks seeing Jimmy's health misfortunes these last few years. Not too incredibly familiar with his work but damn thus just sucks for any human. No matter if they're a wrestler or a common person. Never want to see those unfortunes on someone.
