That makes sense. But still, company should have some back up plans in case one of their top matches fall apart.SandsShifter wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2019 1:10 pmI bet Marty was going to face Aldis and when the NWA pulled out, they didn't have a plan for him.

Re: Summer Supercard Thread
Are we sure Marty is allowed in Canada? He didn't do Toronto during WotW 2017 even though he did Dearborn, NYC and Philadelphia. He didn't do Toronto during WotW 2018 even though he did Lowell, Royal Oak and Chicago. You can write off War of the Worlds this year because of Super Junior scheduling, and I'm pretty sure he didn't do any of the Global Wars shows last year because of scheduling. But unless I'm forgetting one (seems like there should have been one during the fall of 2017 but I can't think of one), this is now 5 Toronto shows ROH has had during Marty's run where he hasn't been on the card. But I don't follow what Marty does for other promotions, so maybe someone else can advise if he wrestles for SMASH or whatever.
Re: Summer Supercard Thread
He did have a match in Ontario last April with DWW.
But that’s an indie, who may or may not have required work visas like a big company like Sinclair might.

Just been announced that it's Marty vs Bandido at Centre Stage, so it could be a visa thing
Also that match is great booking and detail to the feud of VE/LifeBlood

Like the way the television was formatted to Hype up summer supercard. Honestly I would prefer it this way. I'm actually interested in summer supercard.

Marty is a UK citizen. Canada is part of the Commonwealth . I think he could get a visa to work in Canada without a big problem ,unless the paper was late,AlexROH wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 8:50 amMaybe he can get a tourist visa but can't get a work one.monster mafia wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 7:16 am Hey yo!

Re: Summer Supercard Thread
So I’m watching ROH live for the first time since G1 Supercard, and I’ve seen very little 2019 ROH.
Just so I’m clear, THIS is the show coming up which didn’t have bad ticket sales? Because I can see empty seats as far as the eye can see. Or was this always the case but they just have better lights and cameras now to highlight the swathes of empty arena...

Anybody actually watching this? Opener is Kingdom vs PCO/Brody.
Not exactly a packed house. And this is actually a pretty strong card, too.

I'm watching live until 10pm EST. I have a roller hockey game at 11 so I'll watch the rest tomorrow.

God, the Kingdom sucks. TK kinda catches PCO, but the other guy didn't care at all, as PCO crashes back first on the outside. Luckily, PCO is not human.

Kingdom looked REALLY terrible at the end there. These guys should not be on any pay per view for any company. They like, almost went for a move and then just ditched the attempt. Like, what are you guys even doing? Thankfully that was mostly a PCO and Brody squash.
Re: Summer Supercard Thread
That was a mess. I like Brody and PCO, but that really wasn’t good.
‘We have some of the best camera men in wrestling’ says Ian Riccaboni, right before they proceed to get the sh*ttest angle possible on every major spot for the remainder of the match.
If ROH is curious as to why they are struggling with ticket sales, I’d suggest the fact that they seem to be pushing a high profile feud that includes Vinny Marseglia and Brian f-cking Milonas might be an indicator as to why...

Shouldn't they just count Silas out?

Why would they have Marty on this show and not announce it beforehand? lmao
Re: Summer Supercard Thread
Unless he did just get his work visa days before the show.......not announcing a Marty match makes very little sense.alexsmellzzz wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 4:01 pm Why would they have Marty on this show and not announce it beforehand? lmao
