Giants Stadium going to 100% in a few days. Not the UMBC Events Center in 2 months though.....
When the vaccination percentage is the same, than an indoor arena should go full capacity as opposed to an outdoor venue.
So 80,000 people in a close vicinity is “safer” than an arena with 1,000 people? You know that’s beyond stupid right?
1. ROH won't sell or give away 1,000 tickets 2. Science IE the CDC says vaccinated folk in an open air are safe, when the percentage of vaccinated folk is 70% or higher. New York is one of the leading states in getting vaccinated vs. Maryland which is not. Science is undefeated.

Common sense says that more people using common spaces at a football stadium, that are actually indoors, would have more issues than a socially distant small arena. If you go to this ROH event you’re sharing a bathroom with a few hundred people, but at a football game, there will be that many in each and every bathroom throughout the game. You see how stupid this “science” that you’re defending is? I guess COVID isn’t transmitted in a public bathroom.

Covid is a person to person virus, it is not transmitted by surfaces. This was something we knew very early on which is also why washing your hands via hot water & sanitizer is key.

The UMBC arena is significantly smaller thus people are more likely to use the same spaces like a bathroom anyway compared to an outdoor 80k seat stadium.

Obviously, you have never been to a highly attended football game. Didn’t you go to the ROH MSG show? MSG “only” holds 19,000, whatever the bathroom situation was there, is about the same as a football game. And bathrooms are indoors at most football stadiums. Lots of close contact there.

Canelo Alvarez fought 3 weekends ago, in Dallas, indoors. Where’s all the sick people from the 70,000 + there?

I'd like to say Dak Draper for the win, but I don't think it's a good moment.
Maybe Brian Johnson.

My family was season ticket holders in the Dawg Pound for the Cleveland Browns from 1980-2007. From 1989-1995 I peed in a trough at Browns stadium. I'm well aware of what disgusting large crowds are like. I did indeed sit front row at MSG and our section had a private bathroom.

Close contact is not the issue if people are masked up and most toilets at least in our stadiums (including Progressive Field have floor to ceiling plastic dividers.

We are talking about a virus that has killed 500,000 plus people including people I'm related to or friends of mine are related to. I don't think it's safe to open up so I'm doing what I feel comfortable with. This is a state by state situation, New York feels that it is safe enough to operate a stadium. Maryland doesn't. There is no right way or wrong way to handle this situation, other than to keep the safety of the public first.

While listening to the latest Last Stop Penn Station podcast, Ian mentioned that ROH is making plans to run in other states. No exact details were given but it looks like Best In the World could be the end of the no fan era.

Not a lot of main event talent in the Survival of the Fittest tournament... but maybe that's a good thing to help get some new folks over. My thoughts:

Favorites:
Bandido
Bateman
Dickenson
Isom
Drapper

Maybe's:
Horus
Flamita

Not likely/No
Sledge
Brian Johnson
Edwards
DanHausen
Rhett Titus (Mainly cause he's a tag champ)

If ever they needed a "blue-chipper" on the cusp of stardom to win, this would be the year. I think it has to be Bandito or Dickerson.

I defended ROH when the rankings started back up because I didn't think it was fair to hold them t go back 15 months and/or rank people no longer in the company, and I actually like the fact they aren't treating them super serious and allowing for pro-wrestling logic and letting guys get ranked by fan support or battle royal, and not trying to never give a title shot to someone outside the top 3; however, did they really rank Homicide & Dickerson in the tag rankings when they've never tagged? When the Briscoes and the Bouncers are both recently reunited? disbelief can only be suspended so far...

I've noticed that too. I've seen them do that before; and a week or two later; said wrestler/team get a tag win. I think it was Kenny King and Dragon Lee. So maybe we see a Dickinson/Homicide tag win soon.

Yeap, the rankings are trash and dumb unless they’re followed and make sense. No reason for someone whom has never wrestled, to be ranked.

One thing that I hope never, EVER happens is ROH doing gimmick matches in pairs for men and women.

That's one of the worst things about WWE programming, where you have to watch the same gimmick match 2-4 times on a show (if you're lucky it's just one men's match and one women's, but sometimes you get men's and women's for both Raw and Smackdown).

AEW is doing the same thing, announcing a "Casino Battle Royal" for the women at All Out.

If ROH ever does something like an Honor Rumble or Survival of the Fittest for the women, then that should be the only one they do that year. They could alternate every year or something. 2021 SOTF is for men, next year the women can do it. Maybe this year the women get Tag Wars or Top Prospect, then next year they could switch.

I think it has to come down to Bandido and Flamita. They are only ones having some kinda feud there and this could be a decent way to finally move Bandido to main event scene.

I wouldn’t worry about ROH doing women’s events when they haven’t even been able to establish a women’s division.

Women and men are equals. There's no reason you can't have one match for each. This is outdated thinking.

Lol. That’s funny. Little boys aren’t buying Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair action figures, tshirts, and bed sheets. At least ones that don’t grow up to be like Sonny Kiss. So in Pro Wrestling and real sports, they definitely are not equal.

It's not a matter of equality, it's a matter of not wanting to see multiples of the same gimmick matches in short timespans.
