And in something I'm trying to make a
yearly tradition, my annual retooling of Twas the Night Before Christmas, as posted on ROHWrestling.com.
If I don't swing through here tomorrow, I hope all that celebrate have a Merry Christmas and to others a happy holiday!
'Twas the night before Christmas and standing in the ring
Were Joe Hendry and Dalton with entertaining songs to sing!
As their carols rang loud they caught the ear
Of the only undefeated tag team this year!
Two Guys One Tag shocked all fans
After every match, referees raised their hands!
But as we head to the new year
Another thing is true,
The Franchise and Octopus are the
Championship two!
They must stay ready in this heavy tag team scene,
Whether it's Coast 2 Coast, SOS, or Master and Machine!
Or the Briscoes, who are angry and looking again
To win their second titles following reign number ten.
It would be number twelve, but first is as good
Dragon Lee showed us in Baltimore
Victorious he stood
Against Shane Taylor, who had a heck of a run
After becoming TV Champ in May when his reign had begun.
But when you talk about champs, you must not look far
To the group that arrives in a hearse for their car!
Marty and the Villains, PCO standing tall
With Championship gold from when he won it all
Defeating Toro Blanco, with Destro and doors
Ladders, jumper cables, and chairs in a war
RUSH had not lost a match in over a year
But the Bouncers celebrated with PCO with their beer!
RUSH soon decided he would not be alone,
Bringing to ROH his Ingobernables Faccion!
On RUSH, on Lee, on Amy, Kenny King!
La Faccion Ingobernables looks to take over the ring!
As Ingobernables and Villains clash, locking horns real hard
There are other buying their time at the top of the card.
Jeff Cobb has had gold, but Mark Haskins has yet to win,
Tracy Williams earned shots but couldn't get the pin.
But mark my words, these men will compete
To wear gold around their wastes, earn streamers at their feet.
These stars are joined in the fray
By Rey Horus, Bandido, and Flamita, the most exciting wrestlers of our day!
There's Burger, Nova, and Isom, Johnson and Black
Jockeying to reach the top of the pack!
Veterans returning like the great Danny Maff
And creepy weirdos like Vincent and Bateman looking to turn your lights off.
One final thought, if I could have one wish
Is to celebrate what we plan to accomplish
But to do so, we need a full, healthy team
That means a healthy Matt Taven returning to the scene
To right what is wrong and fight the good fight
To send the Ring of Horror back deep out of sight.
Question marks remain about who we will see.
Will it be Danhausen with teeth lining his tree?
More Andrew Everrett? A returning O'Ryan would fit like a glove!
As would Nicole Savoy, Sumie Sakai and Angelina Love!
And I hope Maria Manic finds a way
To rid the Ring of Honor of this menace Bully Ray!
From Caprice, Quinn, Brian, and Steven Dumeng,
To Bobby, Todd, and Cary standing in the ring.
We lay down our headsets we used to call the fight,

A big thank you to Ian for making the effort here and connecting with us. It hasn’t gone unappreciated.
I have had my disagreements with many in here and probably annoyed many too, but this is a great forum for people who understand wrestling and ROH.

though its a great match on paper, i agree, this should be a proving ground match. Or atleast have Lee cut a promo saying he will put the belt on the line against all challengers

2020 is looking alot like 2019. I wanna get excited and be positive about ROH but aside from Ian being a joy....they are off to a ho hum start.
