Especially if Scurll doesn't sign a new deal. There's absolutely no tension in the match if Scurll is on the way out, and it makes no sense to have half of the biggest ROH match at the biggest ROH show ever feature a guy who won't be there long after the event.
He isn't on his way out, he signed a contract extension and he's going nowhere until fall of 2019.

Anyway, I like and understand the booking of the three way. Makes sense.

Should have kept the title on Tana and done Tana vs. Okada at MSG. What a better match to showcase NJPW and the IWGP Heavyweight Championship than another installment between your two once in a lifetime stars. The onus to deliver is now rather unfairly on the young, still kind of unproven shoulders of Jay White. Sure, Okada was a gamble and young and unproven when he first won it but he didn't have the weight of having to defend it on a show like G1 Supercard in front of a demanding audience like there will be in MSG and watching around the world.

Tana got knee injury last year (vs. Suzuki)
But keep High-Fly-Flow & High-Fly-Flow style make condition worse.
Now Tana is not good as 3years before.

Tana isn't doing the HFF anymore bc of his injury.

Btw, looking at NJ Cup Finals, maybe we will have on MSG...

- Okada vs. White
- Naito vs. Ibushi
- EVIL vs. Ishii

Hope the NJPW do some announcements tomorrow.

Looking the timetable of CATV, can't hope many matches.
Instead of IC title,
NAITO EVIL SANADA SHINGO BUSHI
vs.
Ibushi Ishii (Goto SHO YOH)
is my hope.

Tana/Okada would have been a pretty amazing match in MSG, but they clearly want Jay White to specifically be given big roles in their English-speaking expansion. If anything, Jay benefits from the young champion model because of Okada's success and all of that stored good faith in the company. The crowd at MSG is already going to be electric given the circumstances of the show and the already incredible card, added to that is the month-plus investment of the NJ Cup tournament winner going up against someone who seems to be groomed as their next ace.

Given that dual IC and IWGP heavyweight defenses happen at Dominion or Wrestle Kingdom these days as well as the stacked card that is already confirmed, I'm pretty skeptical that Naito/Ibushi is happening at MSG.
