Questions for interviews with ROH talent
Questions for interviews with ROH talent
Hey, I'm back with more interviews! Since ROH doesn't have any show until Final Battle, I'm working with some interviews for creating some hype on my website. For the moment, I have three names confirmed for interviews:
- Ian Riccabonni
- Rico De La Vega
- Matt Taven
Next week I'll contact with more wrestlers, but, if you have questions for any of these three, leave them here and I'll ask them everything I can.

For Taven: What the hell is a "melvin"?
Ian: Cabana or Whitmer?

Riccaboni: how come you're not Joey Styles? You should really work on that.

Taven: Differences on working American, Japanese, and Mexican crowds.
Riccaboni: Do you and Colt have bullet points that you discuss before you do a broadcast? And how often does Colt ad lib and completely throw you off?

De La Vega and Taven were both great and long interviews (35 minutes with Matt and almost 45 with Rico). I wasn't going to upload the full audio from Taven's interview, but I think I'll do it since it was such an interesting conversation that I think you'll enjoy.
My next guest will be Ian on Thursday.

Re: Questions for interviews with ROH talent
- One last question Matt, everyone who watches ROH has the same doubt, what is a Melvin? Am I a Melvin?
"Well, I always say that If you have to ask you probably are one. So it doesn't look too good for you. Melvins are, to sum them up in one sentence, those guys that wake up in the morning and ask their mom if she has washed his Bullet Club shirt yet. So, if you are one of those guys being like 'Mom! You didn't wash my Kenny Omega shirt!!' Then you are the definition of a Melvin".
Re: Questions for interviews with ROH talent
I'm not a Melvin then, thank goodness...I wash my own Bullet Club shirt.
Re: Questions for interviews with ROH talent
Ian was such a great interview. We talked about some interesting topics such as the possible participation of ROH in the Cody/Bucks show, the ROH scouting system and why they prefer to use people for the camps, plans for 2017, the impact or Cody or the evolution of the product. It was almost a 50 minute conversation, but I'm sure you'll like it when I upload it.
I'm working on more interviews for the comming weeks. I don't know the exact day, but next week I'll talk with your World TV Champion Kenny King so, as always, leave your questions here.

Do tou ever regret that the All Night Express never got a true run with the tag team titles? You two teamed for so long in that first run, it's really disappointing that your obe title reign was the way it was.

I'll talk with Kenny on Wednesday morning so, up until then, you can post your quesitons here.AlexROH wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2017 10:37 am Ian was such a great interview. How does Kenny feel about his time with TNA wrestling, and what does he think about the current state of the company?

Good that someone at ROH is pushing to expand to latin America. I'm still shocked they haven't run a show in Mexico with all the venues CMLL owns down there. They could be making a lot better use of their CMLL relationship.

Re: Questions for interviews with ROH talent
Ian's interview will be available tomorrow and the Kenny King one on Saturday.
Funny thing: The only topic King didn't want to talk about wasn't him leaving ROH or the Beat Down Clan disaster with Hernandez's LU contract... It was the concept of The Cabinet and the idea of changing it to The Rebellion. He said "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade".

Re: Questions for interviews with ROH talent
Riccaboni mentioned ROH having TV in France -- I was not aware of this. I knew about Canada, India, and Portugal but I haven't heard anything about France since their short term trial deal didn't work out a few years back.
