War Of The Worlds UK SuperThread
Re: War Of The Worlds UK SuperThread
Funny thing is, last year I went to Liverpool and London was the biggest show. This year I decide to go to London, and they make Liverpool the most important show. Damn.

That's certainly a main event I didn't see coming, but I'm certainly not complaining. That should be REALLY damn good
Re: War Of The Worlds UK SuperThread
Ergh. I thought they would give the title shot to a UK/RPW guy. But hey, SANADA is a great wrestler and he will be a future top star in Japan. He's a great oppenet bc he can have a good match and he can lose clean.
Plus, more names confirmed for the tour:
- Naito
- BUSHI
- Page
- Kenny King

Yeah I hear you man. SANADA has become a wrestler I really enjoy watching. Should be a good match.King of Indy Style wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2017 11:37 am That's certainly a main event I didn't see coming, but I'm certainly not complaining. That should be REALLY damn good

Re: War Of The Worlds UK SuperThread
A little too NJPW-focused for ROH’s own good probably but those are cool matches that wouldn’t necessarily be given the spotlight on an NJPW show, so they’re exciting here.
Also, ROH isn’t really trying to turn Cody face are they?

Re: War Of The Worlds UK SuperThread
If they are it probably has to do with the fact the crowd has been treating him like a face since the War of the World shows.
Re: War Of The Worlds UK SuperThread
Ah, Cody has "turned a new leaf." If only Kelly were there to call it now.
ROH might just be playing by ear, yet I suspect that this will just lead to more Young Bucks-like heels-but-actually-super-babyfaces that hurt their real babyface opponents. [How fun!]

I hate to complain about this because the tour looks really solid thus far, but this is War of the Worlds UK Tour. So where in the damn hell is all the UK talent?!

Re: War Of The Worlds UK SuperThread
I don't think them promoting a UK tour necessarily means they will be using UK talent. I expect them to use a couple here and there, mostly for squashes and local pops, but unlike last year with Marty and Will, I don't see anyone on the UK indie scene being worthy of fan fare to be brought in this year. Everyone is either tied up to some deal or is overrated by the UK audience.
