Dangerously vs. Cornette from the Great American Bash was pretty enjoyable.

I think that at least Shane counted as a wrestler by that point.

I also happen to really love the Hunter vs. Vince match where Steph turns, although I can understand why a lot of people thought it was too long (and I certainly wouldn't disagree that it would have been better with about five or six minutes shaved off).

Cornette vs Heyman was bad.

Vince vs Shane was also bad, but at least those two are/were in shape and actually trained. If I recall it was Stevie Richards who prepared Shane for a lot of his matches.

Jay Briscoe and Dalton Castle trash talking on the ROH Twitter tonight, Castle & the Boys getting another shot at the six man belts? I'd prefer a Jay - Dalton singles match by a million percent tbh.

The Boys shouldn't be in any title picture and Dalton shouldn't lose another title match.

Agreed about the Boys. The losses would hurt Dalton more if the matches were actually built up as big deals, but I definitely understand where you're coming from. I felt the same way about Jay Briscoe, which is why his win over Steen took me completely by surprise.

Yeah, last weekend on ROH TV Castle and Jay had a little brawl bc Jay didn't like how The Boys acted during their tag match with LIJ. Castle vs Jay could (and should) be a great program. But Delirious is the booker, that means Castle & The Boys getting (another) a trios title shot.

Castle has been lost in the midcard since his match with Daniels at SCOH. He needs a rivalry with Jay. And talking about the Briscoes, they need to split from Bully "I'll make every match No DQ because I'm some type of Wrestling GOD" Ray. Briscoes doing D-Von stuff is boring. They are legends in ROH and should be getting a better treatment.

Which is a shame because it kind of defeats the purpose of doing a roll-up finish in that match. If Dalton loses to Daniels by roll-up and then goes on a winning streak you can have him cut promos saying that his loss was a fluke and it won't happen again (and that he deserves a title shot due to his recent wins) and then you've got yourself a big world title match. If you're not going to follow up on it in any way then why not just have Daniels beat him with the BME or the Angel's Wings or whatever?

At the tapings it really came off like Jay Briscoe is going to turn heel. If that happens then it would break up the trios team and lead right into a feud with Dalton. Maybe the trios title match will be the situation where it all blows up, Jay snaps and fully turns.

Jay Briscoe turning heel would be good.

Yeah, I saw that on TV. Jay Briscoe is a badass. A tun heel and a long run as a singles wrestler would be awesome. He's such an intense wrestler, great heel/tweener.

I see what you're saying about Jay's personality making for a good heel, but that's the sort of stuff that will just get you cheered nowadays anyway. I guess I'd be fine with him turning heel, but not without Mark. He's a very good singles wrestler, but not good enough to the point where he can consistently deliver the match quality needed of a singles star in ROH. I also think that the Briscoes as a team are much better than the sum of their individual parts would be as singles wrestlers.

Yes, that's why I see him as a tweener more than as a pure heel. They could turn Briscoes heel and put them back in the tag division, with Jay working some random singles matches.

I'm not sure about Mark as a heel again after he's perfected the simpleton gimmick.

I'd rather have Mark turn heel on Jay than vice versa or both turning together.

The last Briscoe heel turn was pointless because no one wants to boo them. They were faces again in less than a year last time. Maybe it was less than six months. And that was six years ago! Can't imagine it working now with so few authentic "ROH" guys left.

Which is a terrible gimmick. In his promos he will often come across more as a chimpanzee that Jay trained to wrestle and speak English than he does like a human being. How do you think 2007 Mark Briscoe- or even 2011 Mark Briscoe- would react to constantly being referred to as "The Sussex County Chicken?" I'm willing to venture that he wouldn't react particularly well to it.

Oficial. Should be a great match. They had two very good matches at The Experience and Honor Rising:

Their PWG match in April was very good too. I'm excited for that one.
