Ring of Honor is excited to announce that The Best Wrestling on the Planet is returning to three cities in the Midwest, and tickets for these exciting live events will go on sale next week.

ROH will appear in Hopkins, Minn., at the Eisenhower Community Center on Saturday, April 29. On Saturday, June 3, ROH will be in Chicago Ridge, Ill., at the Frontier Fieldhouse for a national television taping, and on Sunday, June 4, ROH heads to Collinsville, Ill., for a live event at the Gateway Center.

RINGSIDE MEMBERS can purchase tickets to these ROH live events on Wednesday, Jan. 18. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. EST.

ROH is coming off an incredible year, and these shows undoubtedly will be can’t-miss events as that momentum carries into 2017.

At the center of everything in 2016 was Bullet Club, which once again has possession of the ROH World Championship and ROH World Tag Team Championship. However, there is no shortage of impressive competitors lining up for the opportunity to take down the only three-time ROH World Champion, Adam Cole, and two-time ROH World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson).

Former WWE star Cody, the newest and perhaps most controversial member of Bullet Club, has already made a huge impact in ROH and is determined to make 2017 his best year ever.

The same can be said for U.K. superstars Will Ospreay and ROH World Television Champion Marty Scurll, who recently signed exclusive contracts with ROH.

2016 also saw the introduction of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Title, and inaugural champions The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia) have vowed that they will rule the division in 2017 and beyond.

The Women of Honor received a much-deserved bigger spotlight in 2016, and these talented competitors always look to deliver show-stealing performances.

The best way to guarantee you are there for these live events is to become an ROH Ringside Member. Ringside Membership gives you exclusive access to special ROH content as well as the chance to catch ROH TV online early! Plus, Ringside Members get discounts on ROH merchandise and access to exclusive pre-orders.

Nice to see a return to Hopkins, Minnesota. It's been a really strong location for ROH in the SBG Era. Hopefully they'll do well there again (though I think their last show there was down from previous events there).

Having Chicago Ridge as a TV Taping is very interesting. I'll be curious to see what the attendance ends up being.

What's also interesting is that NJPW Dominion is on June 11th. That means Best In The World shouldn't conflict, which is good.

The annual War Of The Worlds Tour has been confirmed:
The worldwide partnership between Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling has never been stronger and on the strength of this relationship, the stars of ROH and NJPW will do battle in the fourth annual War of the Worlds Tour! Previous events have seen stars like IWGP Champion Kazhuchika Okada, Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito, Hirsohi Tanahashi, and more do battle with ROH stars like World Champion Adam Cole, Jay Lethal, Dalton Castle, and Bobby Fish. Previous War of the Worlds Tours have seen titles changed and first-time ever dream matches. With demand sky-high, these events will SELL OUT! Don’t miss your opportunity to see the stars of ROH and NJPW in Toronto, Dearborn, and Philadelphia – become a Ringside Member, set your calendar for Wednesday, January 18 at 10 AM, and don’t get locked out!

Happy to see that this year there will be just 3 nights. So 1 is already confirmed to be a TV Taping. Do you think the other 2 will be VOD/DVD shows or will one of them be an iPPV/PPV?

With the announced Toronto & Philly dates being Sunday nights, it wouldn't shock me if their plan is to see if those dates sell out and then add a Saturday night show. They've done that at times in the past and it's worked as it gives the less attractive date the best shot at selling well.

I'll speculate that Global Wars is one of those Fridays (either before Toronto or before Philly)

Speaking of that show, Kevin Kelly on today's ROH Update said that the show's main event competitor's will be chosen by the audience in attendance, and promises it'll be the most interactive show in ROH history.

That'll be very interesting to see how it plays out.

I'll start a thread for that show tomorrow. Since the show in Pittsburgh the day prior is a TV Taping, I'll create a separate thread in the spoilers section.

That's pretty intriguing, especially if you were on the fence for attending. Hope they get a good crowd.

this is cool people

Ring of Honor has always been extremely fan-friendly, and now the company is giving its audience an opportunity to be directly involved in a live event unlike any other in ROH history.

At “The Experience” on Sunday, Feb. 12, fans in attendance at Express Live in Columbus, Ohio, will vote to determine which three competitors from a group of 10 candidates will challenge ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia) in the main event.

It’s the first-time ever that ROH fans will have the say over who participates in a championship main event. Yes, there’s a distinct possibility that a trio put together by the fans walks out of Columbus as the new six-man tag team champions!

The fans also will determine the stipulations for two other matches that night via poll voting on ROHWrestling.com and the ROH Facebook page a few weeks before the event.

In a Proving Ground match between 2016 Top Prospect Tournament winner Lio Rush and ROH World Television Champion Marty Scurll, fans will decide if it’s two-out-of-three falls, a submission match or a European rounds contest. Voting begins on Jan. 23 and ends on Jan. 29 at 11:59 p.m.

In a tag match pitting ROH World Champion Adam Cole and Hangman Page of Bullet Club against Jay Lethal and Bobby Fish, fans will choose whether it’s a tables match, no-disqualification or falls count anywhere. Voting begins on Jan. 30 and ends on Feb. 5 at 11:59 p.m.

In addition, there will be a Q&A with ROH stars and a trivia contest with prize giveaways as part of “The Experience.”

Dave Meltzer said in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there are tentative plans to add a show in NYC to the War Of The Worlds Tour (he speculated 5/13, which I believe is a Saturday). Apparently they're not announcing it yet because they still have a show in NYC coming up before that (Manhattan Mayhem VI). He also added that none of the shows (as of now) will be PPVs, which is a little disappointing.

It's weird here with Wrestling. There will be quite a bit of walk up business for this show, similar to Arlington for SOTF. Don't really know why it's that way here, but definitely a pattern, even with WWE.

Definitely pumped for Briscoes and Bucks, even though the end result is obvious.

The Columbus article for Briscoes versus Tempura Boyz stated that that could be a title match...

I think the result is actually pretty up in the air for that one: would they really put the ROH World Tag Team Champions face the TNA Tag Team Champions? I think both could, and probably should, easily lose their titles ahead of the bout and the match wouldn't lose any of its luster.

I could see the Bucks losing to the Briscoes or even a quick reroute to War Machine ahead of the match with the Hardys. I'm intrigued because I could see the titles go either way.
