RIP CHRIS CORNELL

Talk about anything not to do with ROH. Time limit draws don't apply here!

RIP CHRIS CORNELL

Post by supersonic » Thu May 18, 2017 1:12 am

The direct connection would be the Jacobs & Whitmer tag team theme music. But Cornell had a much bigger cultural impact on pro wrestling, even if he had no direct ties to it. Without the grunge boom, there may have never been a template for ECW to rise as a true alternative to the stale WCW and WWF, and thus ROH may not even exist today. There likely would've been no template for the Attitude Era and the Monday Night War may have not turned out to be such a game-changing boom period.

From every fan of ROH, the original ECW, the Attitude Era, Jimmy Jacobs, and BJ Whitmer, RIP to one of the greatest vocalists of our generation.

From a Seattle native, RIP to a man that helped put the Emerald City back on the map for the first time since Jimi Hendrix's untimely passing.

This belongs more in Off-Topic.

Rest in peace to Cornell. I liked his voice, his bands, and his place in time of music. Wish he wasn’t so young.

Cornell’s death was as unfortunate as most deaths related to the music industry are. Thoughts to his family.
