Then ONLY bad thing about the movies is that they make me want to read the comics (I'm taking a break while saving up for a house).

THE RIDE

IT HASN'T EVEN BEGUN
I'm gonna be at the top of the mountain in three years, with or without this belt. I'm gonna be the best that ever lived. And what you don't understand is, even if I don't get that far, at least I had the courage to get off my ass and try.

It's absolutely insane. And I LOVED how they teased the Civil War movie, giving Captain America 3 a different title. and then changing, having the actors come on stage. Amazing.

What are people most hype for, now that it's had time to sink in?

We've got 8 different franchises there in the OP, seems a shame that a thread with this much discussion potential took 2 and a half months to get bumped.

Captain America 3. Winter Soldier is an all-time favorite film of mine as it had a street, haunting tone to it that felt like Marvel's take on Dark Knight, and I can't wait to see the continued narrative of Bucky.

I'm guessing that you're a fan of the Russo Brothers as directors? They're doing Captain America 3 as well as the two-part Avengers 3. As far as the Marvel Movies go, the fact the Marvel's Civil War is getting a film adaptation is crazy!!

Also, what's everyone opinion on the whole Spider-Man situation?

I'm apparently the only person in the world who legitimately wants to see Sinister Six get made. I already got a satisfying Spider-Man film series, all this newer crop are good for IMO are the new villains. Spider-Man had my all-time favourite rogues gallery as a kid, I want to see as many as possible adapted to the big screen.

My sincerest hope is that Sony keep chugging along on their own until Infinity War at the earliest. I don't want to see Marvel derail whatever fresh Phase 3 plans they have in store just so that they can shoehorn in a guy who doesn't need any more attention, which is what that "Spider-Man in Civil War" bunk sounded like.

When Nintendo were developing Smash Bros Brawl, they only untangled the legal rights to use Sonic the Hedgehog at the last minute. Ergo, Sonic didn't appear in the story mode until the very end, wherein he jumps in out of nowhere whilst the final boss is charging an attack and kicks him upside the head. Imagine that with Spidey & Thanos. IMAGINE IT.

So here are the changes for the Phase 3 Schedule, after the addition of Spider-Man. He will first appear in a "Marvel Cinematic Universe Film" (possibly Captain America: Civil War?), before appearing in his own film in 2017. Pretty much every other film after that has shifted dates, except for Infinity War: Parts 1 & 2, which will keep their previous dates.

- Captain America: Civil War - May 6th, 2016

- Doctor Strange - November 4th, 2016

- Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - May 5th, 2017

- Spider-Man - July 28th, 2017

- Thor: Ragnarok - November 3rd, 2017

- Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 - May 4th, 2018

- Black Panther - July 6th, 2018

- Captain Marvel - November 2nd, 2018

- Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 - May 3rd, 2019

- Inhumans - July 12th, 2019

As someone who doesn't read many superhero comics, I found Busiek and Ross' Marvels to be a really terrific experience, especially as a primer to the Marvel heroes and rogues.

But I would also like to cosign on recommendations for inclusive superhero comics. I have not read one past the 80's and 90's era trades.

X-Men Legacy, the 25 issue run from Marvel NOW starring Legion. Legitimately great, puts modern X-Men comics to shame.

I liked the first arc of Captain America NOW too. Mostly for the art tough, and the artist's pretty hit or miss with people.

So who has seen Avengers: Age of Ultron?

I saw it on Friday. I wasn't quite as good as the first Avengers movie, but it was still pretty awesome!!

I actually thought it was better. Enjoeyed every bit of it. Had tons of comedy which I wasn't expecting but I gladly welcome. The scene with Vision and Thor's hammer is easily my favorite scene in the movie.

If we go by comic book doesnt captain america supposedly get killed by ragnarock(fake thor)? And doesnt both stever rodgers and thor just disappear?and if tony stark is a bad guy and rodgers, thor have disappeared than what would be the plot for infinity war?
