CTWE Born for Battle II: 4pm-6pm.

Team CTWE came out and tried to start the show off against The Mutiny, however Mutiny being the prima-donnas that they are, insisted they stay in the main event, and also said that IF they were to lose tonight, they weren't going to split up. But they did agree to stay out of Team CTWE's business once and for all.

Match #1 - Lukas Sharp def. Brian Fury

Match #2 - Mercedes KV def. Ivy Fit

Match #3 - Dan De Man def. The Mac

Match #4- Frankie Arion def. "First Class" Vladimir Joseph to become the #1 contender for the CTWE Championship against Dave Cole at CTWE Season's Beatings II. It was a controversial finish, referee Stevie Ray Cyrus was knocked down and Dan De Man ran down to the ring attempting to GIVE Frankie a chair to use on Vladimir, in hopes that he would use it and get DQ'ed. Frankie refused and turned around into Vladimir picking him up for his F-5 finishing move. As Stevie Ray came to, it appeared as if Vladimir had used the chair on Frankie since it was lying in the ring, even though he had not. Stevie Ray then made the decision to call the match right there and announce Frankie Arion the winner by DQ.

Match #5- Zachary Pierre Beaulieu def. Andy Sweet w/ Jimmy Meaz

Match #6- "The Prodigy" AJ Cruise def. Alex Cypher to become the #1 contender for the CTWE Shooting Star Championship against J-Busta at CTWE Season's Beatings II.

Match #7- Stiff Biff Whitman def. Bobby Ocean

Match #8- MAIN EVENT: Eight-Man Elimination Match- Team CTWE vs. The Mutiny:
Team CTWE got the first fall right off the bat as Anthony Battle pinned J-Busta with a Bossman Slam to bring the match down to 3 on 4. This was followed by Nocturne making quick work of Ken Scampi, pinning with his Sliced Bread finisher out of the corner, bring it down to 2 on 4, with CTWE up. However the tables turned shortly after that, as Anthony Battle was eliminated by Dave Cole after missing a moonsault followed by a running kick to the face, making it 2 on 3. Next, Chris Battle was eliminated by a low-blow from Dave Cole, as Mikey Chase was at ringside trying to help Chris Battle but it backfired and seemed to cause some animosity between the two. This leveled the playing field to 2 on 2. Nocturne was out next however after hitting his Sliced Bread again on Dan Barry, but then turning around and taking a snap DDT from Dave Cole. It would seem as if Joey Bricco was about to lose his company to The Mutiny, having to face both Dan Barry & Dave Cole all in his lonesome. They immediately pummeled Bricco, weakening the team leader. Bricco was able to get a surprise pin on Dan Barry after hitting his Stroke finishing move out of a head-scissors, now evening the score to 1 on 1, Joey Bricco vs. Dave Cole. The tow men fought back and forth, and kicked out of each other's finishing maneuvers several times, both having the heart and will to do win the match for their team. The end came when Joey Bricco reversed Dave Cole's Tiger Bomb, back dropping him over his shoulders and grabbing his legs for the quick pin!
Team CTWE wins!!!

After the match however, General Manager Jimmy Meaz came out to the ring and informed Joey Bricco that CTWE officials have come to the decision that Joey Bricco can not "have his cake and eat it too" and that on Saturday, Never Back Down 2012, Joey Bricco must make a very important decision. He must choose to stay as an active competitor in CTWE and relinquish his rights of CTWE to new president, OR retire from CTWE alone, and become the sole owner and voice of the company.

Fan Appreciation Hour was next up, and was greatly enjoyed by the fans in attendance. Luke Robinson, Matt Taven, Kasey Ray, & Lukas Sharp all signed autographs for the fans. Justin Credible took pictures in the ring, followed by The Mac having a dance off with several of the kids in attendance, with the winner receiving one of his patented sunglasses. Dan De Man then came out and had a fit that he didn't have a match on the second show tonight and that he wanted to face someone. His challenge was answered by none other than Tough Enough runner-up, Luke Robinson who berated Dan De Man on the mic in a war of words.

CTWE Season's Beatings II: 7pm-9pm.

Match #1- Mikey Chase def. Stiff Biff Whitman in his CTWE return to action. After the match, Chris Battle came out to celebrate with Mikey, who unfortunately turned on Chase, who is supposedly pretty upset over his loss in the elimination match which some say wouldn't have happened if Chase had not come out and "tried to help".

Match #2- Luke Robinson def. Dan De man, after "The Mac Clause" came out to ringside and giving candy canes to the kids at hand, and "unintentionally" distracting Dan De Man, allowing Luke to pick up the win with a massive Super Kick.

Match #3- Bobby Ocean def. Julian Starr

Match #4- Matt Taven w/ Kasey Ray def. Lukas Sharp & Mikaze, after Mikaze hit his finish from the top rope on Lukas, followed by Taven pushing Mikaze out of the ring and stealing the pin-fall over Lukas Sharp.

Match #5- Jimmy Blanco def. "First Class" Vladimir Joseph via count-out, as Bobby Ocean's music hit accidentally, causing Vladimir to walk-up towards the entrance ramp and prepare to fight Ocean as he came out, which never happened. Referee Nick Anderson was about to count to 10, with Vladimir unaware at what had happened. He then beat down Blanco in the ring, which was followed by a save from Bobby Ocean.

Match #6- Tigre' Azul def. Johnny Miyagi in order to win a CTWE contract and become an official member of the CTWE roster. Jimmy Meaz came out to present Azul with a contract for him to sign, however as he did, Azul unmasked revealing himself to be the returning "Royalty" William King, who had just snuck his way back in to CTWE after since being fired by Joey Bricco back in May.

Match #7- "The Prodigy" AJ Cruise def. J-Busta for the CTWE Shooting Star Championship via Shooting Star Press.

Match #8- Frankie Arion def. Dave Cole to win the CTWE Championship via a FIRST-EVER 450 Pits-to-Chesty Splash. The entire locker room emptied after the match and raided the ring in order to share the celebration with Frankie Arion.

NECW put out another very good show, this evening in Blackstone, MA. Nice venue, first time there for me.

Opener saw Elia Markopoulos defeat Sugar Shay. I believe this was the first Shay has ever competed in NECW. After several losses in a row; to Jason Rumble last weekend in Carver, to Tony Delfonzo in Abington before that, and to the Giant Pharoah in handicap action alongside Scotty Slade in Spencer before that, Elia finally gets a "W" next to his name in this one. He was very proud of his victory too. . . lol

Next up, Sean Burke took on Johnny Thunder. Thunder may have given Burke his best and may have taken Burke to the limit here but Burke wins in this one and remains undefeated in an NECW ring. Impressive match.

Up next was a really fun tag team match. Chase Del Monte and Brandon Locke took on the Logan Brothers in this one. Very nice contest. Back and forth, good action, entrainment thanks to Chase Del Monte, and the Logan's looked great and seem to be back in the NECW fold. In impressive fashion, the Logan's go home victorious. One has to think this puts them in line for a match against DC and Fury for the belts. There may have been some miscommunication between Locke and Del Monte, I believe Chase bumped into Locke, sending him outside. Soon thereafter, Chase Del Monte got pinned.

Next up, Alexxis defending her World Women's Wrestling Championship against Adrianna. Okay match I thought. I've really appreciated all the fresh faces NECW has brought in to compete against Alexxis. One has to wonder though, who out there can actually give Alexxis a fight though? Alexxis wins with relative ease.

Next up was the main event, NECW Champion Bobby Fish vs. NECW Tag Team Champion Brian Fury . It was announced earlier in the evening that Tank The Tank would act as outside enforcer in this one, as he and NECW officials feared Fury's manager Sean Gorman would plot something underhanded to steal a victory in Blackstone, Tank's hometown. The main event really delivered, very fun match. There were some outside shenanigans between Tank and Gorman, didn't really interfere with the match though. Match was a lot of fun. Fish is amazing to watch wrestle. He is so unique. His set of kicks are phenomenal, and he delivers some very nice suplexes as well. Fish wins this one via pinfall, after an amazing spinning back kick. After the match, Gorman tried to steal Fish's belt but was detained at the very last second by Fish and given to Tank who took care of him. Crowd was crazy into Tank, fans were very excited and happy

I go to AIW, the shows usually stink, but Colt Cabana is usually there and that's all that matters to me.

I wish it didn't cost so much money to put on a wrestling show, because my area is severely lacking in that department. Maybe I'll win the lottery one day so I can start my own company.

I prefer AIW to ROH. It's is a great promotion with a talented and very huge roster. The shows are fun to watch, the only problem are the many screw job finishes.

Unfortunately I have no wrestling promotion in my area, so I can't go to live events.
But my favorite local promotion is Destination One Wrestling from Charlestown, Indiana. Very small, but with a lot of good workers and a loyal fan base.

New England Championship Wrestling, January 13, 2012, Irish-American Club, Malden, MA

Admission was $15 at the door. Fans received a free calendar magnet. It was a pretty good crowd, and quite a few NECW regulars from back in the Quincy days were there. Concessions items included: meatball sub ($4), chicken broccoli ziti ($4), chili ($4), chili dog ($3), pizza ($2-3), hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, candy, chips. Ring Announcer was Chris Norman. Referees were Joe Mullett, Paul E.D. (sp?), and Senior Official Rob Teutel.

"The Statement" Elia Markopoulos with "Mr. Fabulous" Tony Ulysses vs. "The Real Deal" Brandon Locke. Ref. Mullett. Markopoulos gets into an argument with some vocal fans before and during the match. The crowd is clearly on Locke's side, and he wins handily via a Locke Down, I believe.

Taka Suzuki vs. Chase Del Monte. Ref. Paul E.D. Del Monte insults his opponent, the crowd, and even the referee. Despite Suzuki's best efforts he ends up on the receiving end of a piledriver, and Del Monte wins.

Promo with Al Basler and "Boston Bad Boy" Jason Rumble. Rumble expresses his desire to win the NECW Heavyweight title in the coming year, but he is interrupted by Elia Markopoulos and Rumble's former manager, Tony Ulysses. Rumble and Markopoulos get into an altercation, and it takes the entire officiating and operations crew to break up the fight.

Tag Team Championship match. Matt Taven and Sean Burke vs. The Dynasty (c.), D.C. Dillinger and Brian Fury with "Manager of Champions" Sean Gorman. Ref. Teutel. Dillinger and Fury sneak into the room and attack Taven and Burke before the start of the match. There is fighting outside of the ring before the match begins. Taven goes for a kick and ends up tumbling over the corner and onto the floor. The match ends when Dillinger kicks Burke in the head and covers for the pin. Dynasty wins and retains the championship.

Intermission. Eddie Edwards, Bobby Fish, and Alexxis Nevaeh sign autographs.

The Logan Brothers, Matt Logan and Bryan Logan vs. All Money Is Legal, K-Murda and K-Pusha. Ref. Teutel. All Money Is Legal enter the ring with a giant 1980's-era boombox, and they shake hands with the Logan Brothers before the match. This is a fast-paced, high-energy match. Finally, K-Pusha pins Matt Logan, and All Money Is Legal wins. After the match K-Murda and K-Pusha again shake hands with their opponents, but in a show of bad sportsmanship the Logan Brothers then attack them from behind, drawing boos from the audience. The vicious attack ends with a piledriver against K-Murda. This was an exciting match to watch.

World Women's Wrestling Championship match. Adrianna vs. Alexxis Nevaeh (c.). Ref. Mullett. Adrianna wearing a black, mini kimono robe with floral print, and Alexxis wearing a lime green top and white shorts. Eventually, Adrianna is thrown out of the ring and lands hard on the floor. Nevaeh exits the ring to check if she is okay, and Adrianna sends her into a ring post and then slips back into the ring. Unfortunately, the referee fails to restart the count when Alexxis leaves the ring, and as a result Alexxis is counted out. Adrianna wins by a controversial count-out, but Nevaeh retains the belt.

Heavyweight Championship match. "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards vs. "The Infamous" Bobby Fish (c.). Ref. Teutel. This is a tremendous match with an assortment of attacks, counters, and reversals. The momentum goes back and forth, pitting Edwards' chops vs. Fish's kicks in a war of attrition. The crowd seems to be more behind the local-to-the-area challenger Edwards. Finally, Fish is able to win and retain. (Sorry for not having more to write. It really was a good match.)

Ring announcer: Tommy D , Rent a suit
Ref Iron Man Mike Crockett

PHotog: Jack Diamond
Video camera: David Fournier.

First off, nice HOT crowd, w a lot of New Englands indy workers enjoying and the VERY cool and vocal section for Jeremy Leary and Brad Hollister. Also, Tommy D kept fans updated on the massacre in Foxboro all night, which was a nice move.

Doug Summers, Vinnie Marseglia and Shane Marvel defeated Sebastian Reese, Dan De Man and Zack Pierre Beaulieu in a wild six man opener. Total Chaos ensused before, during and after the match.

In a really good match up. The Upgrade Alex Cypher defeated Royalty William King w mercedes KV in her corner.

The Mac won a gauntlet match to earn a title shot, by pinning Bobby Ocean who had just been layed out helpless prior to Mac entering the match. Mac and Ocean spurned Doc Heresy's offer to Join the Diamonds of the Ring, and instead will challenge the EWA Tag Champs Feb 11

Matt Taven defeated Dalton Castle, making his EWA debut. Castle was an "interesting " Character to say the least, but was solid in the match.

After intermission. The Purists retained the EWA tag titles over Punked and Preppy by a cheating belt shot move. Really fun match.

Golden Burke retained the EWA HW title w a monster Powerbomb on Mikaze. IMO, Burke is really destined as a breakout star. He's got size, a good persona in the ring, and the reminder to me of a young Sid...

Main event wa a blast. Saw Joey Eastman and Taka Suzuki defeat Marshall McNeil and Jonny Idol.

really fun show w a nice hot crowd. Two big matches announced for the EWA return in Feb. The Mac and Bobby Ocean Challenge the Purists for the tag belts. and Golden Burke defends the EWA HW title vs the return of the Promise Antonio Thomas :)

Saturday is the Redneck Rumble in Nashville NC for GOUGE. I have no expectations of quality, but as I have friends who live in the area (D-Man/Yngwie Joyner and his lady) it will be good to hang out with them.

International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom (IPW:UK). Widely regarded as the best promotion in the UK. I've seen the Bucks, Future Shock, Nigel and Eddie Edwards wrestle there over the past 12 months. They have some great UK talent too such as Zack Sabre Jr and Marty Scurll.
