Don't forget Daniels vs. Lethal/Briscoe winner in the finals.

And Scurll vs. Juice Robinson apparently as well.

Can't go wrong with Lethal vs. Briscoe III. I see Briscoe winning and winning the tournament.

Fuck Bull James though.

Couldn't agree more. Bull James does absolutely nothing for me and is a complete waste of Silas Young.

I agree with your first point and fear we'll all get tired of typing "Fuck Bull James" before long.

If you made the business decision to hire James, using Silas to try to get him over isn't a bad idea though. This angle is playing out on TV so the match makes sense.

I still wish they would have done a Silas/Bruiser/Bull trios team - they could have gotten Bull over easier as a quasi-comedy group then trying to make him some legit babyface.

I see where you're coming from, but I don't know man. Looked at who Silas has faced lately. Liger. Cole. O'Reilly. Shibata. Now Bull James? ROH can sell us all day on how he's a former NXT guy, but the bottom line is...he is who he is. A step down for Silas, a guy who they looked to be pushing to the upper card. Bull James is shit compared to the other guys.

Marty Scurll vs. Juice Robinson has been officially confirmed, and it'll be for the ROH World TV Title:
With the calendar closing on Ring of Honor’s biggest year ever, 2017 is poised to be even bigger! The Best Wrestling on the Planet starts 2017 with a return to Atlanta’s historic Center Stage for the first time in six years for an international television taping on Jan. 14.

Just signed for the show is an ROH World Television Title Match between champion Marty Scurll and New Japan Pro-Wrestling star Juice Robinson.

Scurll has made a huge impact since signing an exclusive contract with ROH in November.
In just his third match with the company, “The Villain” captured the ROH World Television Title from fellow British star Will Ospreay during ROH’s Reach for the Sky tour on Nov. 20 in London.

Scurll went on to successfully defend the title at the Final Battle pay-per-view on Dec. 2 against Ospreay and CMLL sensation Dragon Lee in a Triple Threat Match.

Robinson, who signed with NJPW during the latter part of 2015, had the best year of his eight-year career in 2016, as he has more than held his own against the top competitors in NJPW.

Recently, Robinson formed a successful tag team with Japanese superstar Hiroshi Tanahashi in the World Tag League tournament, and he is scheduled to face Cody in a singles match at the huge Wrestle Kingdom 11 show on Jan. 4 at the Tokyo Dome.

ROH officials have announced that Robinson will assume Scurll’s title commitments if he wins the championship in Atlanta.

Join us on Jan. 14 to see who walks out of Atlanta with the gold around their waist!

Lots of Bull James hate. Such a shame for a guy that puts on so many 5 star classics.

That would have been a cool, little title match. Still, I am pretty sure I would like Colt in the TV Title picture, especially with Marty as champion.

2016 ROH MVP Bobby Fish will give Colt Cabana his best match since returning.

What a stupid f*cking idea. What is to stop the Young Bucks from defending the titles against- as the article even suggests, a team of scrubs like the Tempura Boyz or FerraraBurger? Or what's to stop them from bringing in their own pair of losers who are even worse? Or guys paid to lay down for them?
This company appears to be operating purely off of "excitement" (or, often faux "excitement") than it is off of actual logic. They just throw sh*t at the wall instead of trying to use their matches to tell an over-arching story, and without any sort of kayfabe logic to anything.
Fish vs. Cabana is a match I would be very excited for if I thought the match would actually matter to anything either guy is doing, but instead it's just the same old "what will happen when these two face off?!"

It depends, you could have the Young Bucks introduce a bunch of "scrubs" or play it out like they are, even though it might be a known Indy tag team from elsewhere and play it out so the new tag team get's very close to beating the Bucks but end up just coming up short it should cement the new team plus giving what most people want a Young Bucks win.

This has been something of a larger frustration with the whole promotion that I and others have been stating on the Podcast of Honor. Sometimes there are times for something like this on shows that are not "A" shows but at the same time it shows some holes in story telling. Even if it lead to the debut of a tag team that we've all wanted in ROH, the story telling is meh.

I have a feeling a know who the mystery team is ? I would say the Hardys but I cannot see TNA allowing them to work ROH TV while under contract. TNA might let Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett do a few shots for ROH . However the KES just finished up in NOAH , so I would not be shocked to see them in the ATL. KES would work in ROH .

Would be different though with the NOAH/NJPW non relationship now, probably not happening but never say never if they can book wherever they want.

Alex Reynolds / John Silver or the Bravado Brothers could also be the mystery team.
