Tapings start in a few minutes. I'm very intrigued to see the results. It'll paint a telling picture of what the plans are going forward in 2017.

I like seeing Bruiser and Young beat the crap out of James, but at the same time this worries me that James is with the company and will be on TV more. Hopefully it's a one off for them to beat up.

Well, there were some more details from the taping. From the gist of things, the angle died as it lived, confused, contrived, brittle, collapsing, and more over than it has any right to be.
- Cody then comes out to one of the biggest reactions of the night, a lot of boos but some cheers.
He cuts a heel promo on the crowd and on ROH. No Brandi with him as he says the fans aren't worthy of seeing her. He called ROH "Ring of Mediocrity" and that he's the real star. Out comes Steve Corino in full white ring gear, flanked by Kevin Sullivan and BJ Whitmer. Cody cuts a promo on him, saying he has no respect for Corino. Corino says if it wasn't for Dusty Rhodes, he wouldn't be here.

He said something about Genghis Khan needing to sacrifice one of his two sons, and if it wasn't Cody, it would be his brother. I'm assuming a lot of the stuff leading to this, and explaining this sudden Whitmer/Corino/Sullivan alliance will be vignettes on the shows, unless I've missed something.

Corino came out with Sullivan, Whitmer and Martinez for this so guessing a vignette explains that Cody was the second coming or whatever and Corino had accepted the terms that only one of them could survive in ROH.

Corino was very good in the match, certainly can still throw a damn good punch and he even hit a package piledriver! On Cody Rhodes! In a ROH ring in 2016!

I really don't see Cody mingling (especially now with the BC stuff) with Whitmer/Martinez/Sullivan so hopefully this just segues into Whitmer and Martinez tagging for a couple months until they find something else to do.

Hands down, this was bad change-the-channel stuff for me, glad it's over.

I'll be honest, I was totally onboard with those guys being a trio and working for the 6-man belts. I think they could have gotten Bull over and it would have been a really fun dynamic.

James was initially slightly over with the crowd, and then it was just like one or two guys yelling for him.
