I understand what you're saying. I'm disappointed with how this feud was played out. In my mind, if you're going to do a Fight Without Honor, get heat behind it. No one needs to look further than how Gabe built towards a FWH.

On a related, but unrelated note, what on earth is with the amount of pull aparts ROH is doing on TV now? They did a bunch in Nashville in November, a few in Charlotte, and I swear they did at least SEVEN last night, many in the first several segments of the show, and teased at least another half dozen. It's crazy. The booking is so repetitive. The same angle for every storyline. Promo, non heated brawl, pull apart. Or promo, glares, security gets in between.

They've pretty much killed the Nashville market at this point.
To each his own, I guess. The show certainly had it's issues and went ridiculously long, deflating the crowd in what was already a big, empty building, but I still found it to be a fun night of wrestling, personally. Enjoyed it more than two of the last sets of TV tapings I've been to in Nashville back in November and January of last year.

Interesting. I thought both of those were on a different planet than last night's from a booking and pacing perspective, and I wasn't over the moon for those. November, for instance, I would say the top four tags on the show (BC & Silas/RD, Bucks/Briscoes, RV/Sydal & ACH, and the 5-on-5) were better than anything last night.

I should mention I don't think these will necessarily make terrible TV episodes. The second episode should even turn out pretty well. However, when you consider this was taped as a pilot to ship to stations, it was a failure. I'm also sick of the tired booking tropes like distraction finishes and such that we got aplenty of last night that accomplish zilch. Plus I just thought they treated the show pretty lame leading up to, as was the case with the November taping. So you could say it was a culmination of things.

Their continued effort with the women is something else. If it wasn't it was close, but excluding the gauntlet, on a near or over five hour show, the Leon/Saturyn match was the longest match on the show, lol. The state of ROH in 2016.

I don't think the quality of the matches is the biggest concern for the stations, especially when it's subjective.
The production value is probably their main focus.
If i had to say something against the shows before they air on TV, it would be about the fact that Lethal & Cole didn't wrestle while they are supposed to be the main focus of the company.
Considering they always have great matches, if you replace them with even the best women match we've had it affects the quality of the TV Taping.

Not that it is a good thing, but the matches are always shortened on TV anyway.

Lazy booking.

Another quick note. PWPonderings had in their report that War Machine vs. ANX in a No DQ Match for the ROH World Tag Team Titles was announced for the 14th Anniversary Show.

I wonder if we'll get Gresham/Alexander at the PPV? Or if that's a TV-only feud.

Shelley vs. Daniels for the PPV will be announced on TV apparently. Don't know who the Bucks and Omega will be facing, but I'm guessing ACH/KUSHIDA/Sydal at this point.
