Anyway what was this topic about again? Oh yeah, I'd say 6/10 so far but he has had a lot of distractions. In 2012 it should be a fresh start and hopefully Delirious gets a groove going with the booking. I wish he would wrestle again full-time though, I love all the stuff he did in the ring for ROH and he could still do a lot more if he ever decides to come back.

Okay, sorry it wasn't a Noah show. They still wrestled together before Pearce booked them and the name was already coined and used on the RoH message board along with the suggestion that they become a full time tag team. Using fan ideas isn't necessarily a bad thing, it was the cornerstone of Gabe's booking (according to TJP)

Just watching the Gabe 'shoot' again and he openly admitted that he was considering putting the World Title on Necro Butcher. He instantly loses all my respect!

Delirious as Head Booker has been a great ride so far, I love the slow burns with the story lines

Why? It's a pretty smart move.

Never seen the shoot, but I am pretty sure it was because of the wrestler movie and wanting to use the movie and its popularity as a way to help ROH........not sure that is something to lose respect let alone all respect for someone :? Thats business

He was over like noone else after he split with the AOTF until Gabe killed his heat with the weird booking of the Steel Cage Warfare match. He shouldn't have been champ though.

Yeah, he basically said he wanted to cash in on the Wrestler buzz. I was joking about losing my respect but I'm glad he never went through with it.

Pearce had his moments but didn't really hit his stride until late '09 through until his removal in summer '10.

Just look at it this way...he let Kevin Steen be Kevin Steen and we're still reaping the benefits now!

I say it was great old school 60's booking, I loved it and it created heat for the WGTT

You loved it? That was awful. Wrong place, wrong time. It was, as WrestlingMatters said, complete bullshit.

I thought it told a great story, back and forth IMO

Have to agree. Also didn't like the booking for the Main Event either. Still great matches all the way through the card but the booking was very strange and a bit of a clusterfuck.

It didn't tell any story, it was mass confusion.

From what I can see, the are trying to go back to the roots of Mid-South, NWA, WCCW story telling

And mine happens to be the right one. It sucked, that's all there is to it really. It may have been ROH's worst booking decisions this year honestly.

While certainly this statement isn't a reflection on a "full" grade for Delirious, in light of last night I would say with the idea of the show (FB '11) being long (4+ hours), even with the quality, wasn't that cited as a reason for Gabe's "burnout" before he was let go...if he deserves that critical eye, then so does Delirious/Cornette/et al.
