That bit on management not being happy with Nana is interesting, though it seems really early to be teasing that kind of tension. From a storyline perspective, it is curious that Nana brought in Outlaw Inc, which seems to be counter to the direction Nigel is going. With Outlaw Inc. and Jimmy Jacobs both having problems with Nigel, and potentially Jay Briscoe when he returns, it could be quite interesting but I hope they don't turn it into a "destroy" ROH angle so soon after SCUM. If it's mostly focused on Nigel's role as a matchmaker, I could live with that (though even that seems too similar to Steen vs Cornette). I don't know... I'm more than willing to see where this goes, but right now the possibilities don't feel very fresh to me.

- Michael Bennett scored one of the biggest wins of his career last Saturday in Birmingham against former ROH World Champion Davey Richards. ROH officials have taken notice and, especially with Maria in the ear of the office, it is hard not to take notice of a man who can defeat Richards. Bennett wants more competition and has went on record claiming to have the best Piledriver in all of pro wrestling.

- Speaking of Davey Richards, Davey will be touring England during the month of October while partner Eddie Edwards heads to Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan.

- The Ringmasters Challenge between Roderick Strong and Adam Cole last Saturday was definitely a test of endurance, skill and heart. Two of the best collided and while Cole did nothing "wrong", his method of attaining victory was once again questionable.

- Kyle O'Reilly and Cedric Alexander had a fantastic one-on-one showdown last Friday in Chattanooga and it is a match that you definitely want to see.

- Despite their losing effort, Alabama Attitude (Mike Posey & Corey Hollis) impressed over the weekend as a team and look better every time they compete.

- The Honor Rumble returns on September 28th in Hopkins, MN and the winner of the Honor Rumble will get an Instant Reward in the form of an ROH World Championship bout the same night! - Ring of Honor returned home to Philadelphia & The National Guard Armory last Friday night, September 20th, for “Death Before Dishonor XI” and a new World Champion was crowned as the tournament came to an unforgettable end. Adam Cole defeated Michael Elgin honorably, in the middle of the ring, to become the 19th World Champion! Following the match, Jay Briscoe, like a man, presented the new champion with the title belt and even shook Cole's hand...but when Jay turned around, Cole super kicked him in the back of the head and then nailed Elgin with the title belt across the face in a dishonorable act that will never be forgotten!

- During the tournament finals last Friday night at “Death Before Dishonor XI”, Michael Elgin hit Cole with the Elgin Bomb but Todd Sinclair was clipped by Cole's feet on his way up which briefly rendered him unable to make a three count. Many people feel that this would have undoubtedly been the end if the referee was accidentally hit. After watching the replay, ROH officials do not hold Todd Sinclair accountable given the positioning in which both men abruptly turned during the course of the move. Cole's shoulders were obviously down for 3 seconds and the question remains whether Cole would have kicked out if the ref was in place?

- Former World Champion Jay Briscoe will be in the house THIS Saturday night Hopkins, MN! Jay will not be cleared to wrestle or eligible to return to ROH action until November but Jay will be there and he has something to say.

- Tommaso Ciampa spent the night before his wedding in the hospital as a result of Adam Cole repeatedly kicking Ciampa in the head while having him locked in the Figure Four. Ciampa's knee was aggravated plus he suffered a concussion during his war with Cole. Ciampa took it to the next level in Philly and will return to ROH action on October 26th at "Glory by Honor XII" in Chicago Ridge, IL.

- Before the show started last Friday night at “Death Before Dishonor XI”, Steve Corino entered the building demanding his reinstatement and was thrown out by security. Due to the entertainment value of Corino's delusional antics we will include this as an extra on the DVD release.

- Last Friday BJ Whitmer announced that he was choosing to end his in-ring wrestling career due to injury. BJ Whitmer is the toughest man in ROH history as well as a locker room leader. We will miss BJ and his contribution to ROH will never be forgotten. Fans that are wishing to send positive thoughts to BJ can send them to @BJ_Whitmer on Twitter.

- After Whitmer sadly announced his retirement from in-ring competition and thanked the fans last Friday, he did a surprising thing by calling Jimmy Jacobs out to the ring. BJ made it clear that without Jimmy Jacobs there would be no BJ Whitmer and despite their heated past, Jimmy has been by Whitmer's side since he was injured in Toronto. Whitmer explained that if Jimmy didn't stop Steve Corino during Steel Cage Warfare, then Corino would have set the ring on fire. Whitmer asked Match Maker Nigel McGuinness to give Jacobs an opportunity and not let the career of 2 men come to an end. Taken aback, Nigel acquiesced and stated that Jimmy would get his opportunity to prove himself starting the following night during the ROH TV Tapings. That night he faced off with Silas Young in a bout that will air on the October 26th edition of ROH TV and, as it turns out, it will mark the first of five Trial Series matches for Jacobs. Nigel said that should Jacobs be victorious in three of those five bouts, he will be awarded a World Title match on November 15th when ROH returns to Jimmy's home state of Michigan! When asked why he would offer Jacobs this fantastic opportunity at gold Nigel responded with "Any man who can get though 3 of the 5 men that he has to face in an honorable fashion deserves a shot. It is motivation for Jacobs to do the right thing and channel his energy toward honor."

Future Shock reunion in the GBH main event, if reDRagon keep the belts til then. I like this, hopefully it plays an important part of the match, rather than just something Kevin Kelly has to point out for it to get notice, like Jimmy and BJ in the SCUM feud.

At some point, I'd like to see a heel Future Shock tag, just to have it. It doesn't even need much more of an excuse than Bobby Fish is unavailable or has been booked in a big singles match, so Nigel decides to fuck with them because people would be interested.

I really, really don't care about C&C atm. They lost all the momentum they had in May. Cedric needs get a singles run because I don't see this team going anywhere and he's 100 times better than Caprice.

And Future Shock reunion should be fun. Made me care about the match a little more now. Taven, Fish, O'Reilly and Cole all in the same team sounds entertaining as hell.

Ignoring that they've lost momentum, Caprice has sadly lost the ability to be good and interesting in the ring. He always looks so uncoordinated and half his stuff doesn't land right or look like it hurts.

I'd be really into turning them heel and Caprice managing Cedric. I don't care if Cedric's good on the mic and been hiding it this whole time, but Caprice is too good a talker to get rid of. But he just sucks in the ring now.

It would really be hot-shotting the belts, but it could be interesting if Lethal and Elgin win the tag titles. It would mix things up, and give Elgin something to do until Cole is done with Briscoe. It could also add to the 8-man by having Elgin and Cole on the same team. Hell, you could go further and have Davey take the TV title (I can see this happening to give him the triple crown too), make the 8-man as Cole, Davey, Lethal and Elgin vs reDRagon, Eddie, and Strong. Would add some interesting dynamics that I think could make it a great match

And (I haven't seen anything after ASE yet) am I the only one who could see Davey going out on his own as a more playful heel, and Eddie forming the DojoBros in ROH with Strong? Would be something a bit more fresh, and give Strong something to do again rather than just floating about.

- Last Saturday night Ring of Honor returned to The Du Burns Arena in Baltimore, MD for the final time in 2013 and it turned out to be another fantastic night of wrestling!

- Thank you to all of our Baltimore fans who have helped make The Du Burns Arena one of our favorite spots.

- You never know what is going to happen at an ROH event as Roderick Strong surprised everyone when he interrupted ROH World Champion Adam Cole's interview last Saturday in Baltimore. Strong said that he and Cole have unfinished business as they have done battle 6 times in ROH and they are 3 & 3. Strong laid down the challenge and although Cole refused, Strong had an ace up his sleeve! He had already been to Nigel McGuinness and the Match Maker set the World Title match for the main event! The fantastic No DQ/No Countout main event rocked the house however Strong came up short and Adam Cole was successful in his second defense.

- Speaking of never knowing what is going to happen at an ROH event, Heather McBain and Justin Scartocci got engaged at last Saturday's ROH event in the middle of the ring! Congratulations to Heather and Justin!

- Although ACH lost, many are saying that Kevin Steen vs. ACH from last Saturday was ACH's best match in ROH to date.
