Starting on Monday, the United Kingdom and Ireland are being added to the United States’ 30-day European travel ban. Americans in those countries will be allowed to come home and will be funneled through specific airports. That ban would be in place if WrestleMania were to still happen on April 5.

An unidentified XFL player has tested positive for coronavirus, the league confirmed to USA TODAY Sports on Saturday.

The league said in a statement that the player, who is a member of the Seattle Dragons, reported his symptoms to team medical staff on Tuesday and was immediately placed in quarantine, where he has remained in the days since.

The player received a test for COVID-19 "as soon as possible," according to the statement, and received the result of the test Friday.

According to the league, the unidentified player participated in Seattle's previous two games against the Houston Roughnecks and St. Louis BattleHawks but was asymptomatic at the time.

Everything is done for months...maybe even a year. This virus isn't going anywhere.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended Sunday that no gatherings with 50 people or more — including weddings, festivals, parades, concerts, sporting events or conferences — be held in the United States for the next eight weeks in one of the federal government’s most sweeping efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

The C.D.C. said that its recommendation, which would drastically change life in the United States for the next two months, does not apply to “the day to day operation of organizations such as schools, institutes of higher learning, or businesses” and added that it was not intended to supersede the advice of local health officials.

“This recommendation is made in an attempt to reduce introduction of the virus into new communities,” it said, “and to slow the spread of infection in communities already affected by the virus.”

And the C.D.C. urged people to take care with even small gatherings. “Events of any size should only be continued if they can be carried out with adherence to guidelines for protecting vulnerable populations, hand hygiene and social distancing,” its recommendation said. “When feasible, organizers could modify events to be virtual.”

This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing 👊🏾👊🏾 No panic.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti have ordered movie theaters in their respective cities to close in response to the coronavirus pandemic. It’s the first time in history that cinemas have shuttered en masse not due to weather concerns.

New York City also took dramatic steps on Sunday to curb the spread of the virus by closing restaurants, nightclubs, small theater houses and concert venues starting Tuesday at 9 a.m. Public schools will also be closed at least through April 20, affecting nearly one millions students. Restaurants are limited to only take-out and delivery orders as of March 17.

Los Angeles bars, nightclubs, gyms and entertainment venues will also be closed until March 31, unless extended. Garcetti said grocery stores and pharmacies will remain open. Los Angeles City does not include the smaller municipalities within Los Angeles County such as Santa Monica, Beverly Hill and Pasadena, so it appears those cities will not immediately be subject to the new policy.

With movie theaters closing or reducing seating capacity due to coronavirus, Universal Pictures will make its movies available on home entertainment on the same day as the films’ global theatrical releases.

The initiative will kick off with DreamWorks Animation’s “Trolls World Tour,” which is scheduled to debut on April 10 in the U.S. The company will also make films that are currently in theaters available on-demand starting as early as Friday, March 20. These films include the horror movies “The Hunt” and “The Invisible Man,” as well as “Emma,” an adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel from Focus, Universal’s specialty label.

The films will be available for a 48-hour rental period at a suggested retail price of $19.99 in the U.S. and for roughly the same price in international markets. The announcement is a blow to movie theaters, which have long resisted any attempts to shorten the amount of time that movies are available exclusively on the big screen.

June 7th? People are living in a fantasy world. Like i've been saying for almost 2 weeks....Everything (sports, wrestling, concerts, etc) is done. The virus has spread to every state. It has spread in communities for weeks now. We should of shut everything down last month. We are way behind. It is only gonna get worse in weeks ahead. See whats happening in Italy? See what is about to happen in Spain this week...we are 7 to 10 days away from that. In the next 2-3 weeks the whole country will be on lockdown/curfew.

Sports League will cancel seasons soon. There wont be a MLB season. NBA/NHL wont resume. UFC/Boxing/Wrestling are done. The virus will slow in summer & government will make the mistake of thinking its contained but it will roar back in fall and everything will be locked down again. Vaccine is 12 to 18 months away....until then its gonna suck.

That means no Supercard of Honor, the Pure Championship tournament, Battlestarr, Quest for the Gold, and the 2020 ROH/NJPW War of the Worlds tour.

So sad, a lot of good and important shows for Marty and the boys...

5:46pm update. Thanks to Marriott Westshore for agreeing to honor the Force Majeure clause and not holding either our guests or WC responsible for the liquidated damages. The Emergency Declaration by Gov DeSantis to cancel events over the next 30 days was a major factor.

We'd also like to thank the NY Yankees and Steinbrenner Field for agreeing today to return our rental payment, in full, due to circumstances. They are an outstanding organization and if we are able to return to Tampa in the future, they will be our first phone call.

Kevin Durant is among the four Brooklyn Nets players to test positive for coronavirus, he told The Athletic on Tuesday.

"Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine," Durant told The Athletic, adding that he is feeling fine and not showing any symptoms. "We're going to get through this."

The Nets did not identify any players and said Tuesday that of the four players, only one is exhibiting symptoms. All four are isolated and are undergoing medical care from team physicians, the team said in a statement.

Sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that the player experiencing symptoms woke up Tuesday with some aches.

Sources told Wojnarowski that the Nets had players tested by a private company, for which the team paid out of pocket, after they had returned from San Francisco. The test results came back Tuesday.

The four players join Utah Jazz stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell and the Pistons' Christian Wood as NBA players known to have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

The Nets did not play the Jazz or the Pistons over the last two weeks of their season.
