The Bravado Bandwagon rolling back into ROH!

Harlem & Lancelot Bravado, despite having picked up a few wins over Future Shock & The Briscoes, have not been seen inside an ROH ring since “Final Battle 2011” when they competed in the Tag Team Gauntlet match. Their loss that night proved to be the final straw for ROH officials as they were essentially forced into a hiatus to get their house together. So what did the brothers do? Did they go back to North Carolina and pout about it? Did they slack off and get disheartened?

No, not remotely, in fact it was quite the opposite. As a matter of fact, since January, and lasting all the way through the end of March, the Bravados have been living inside the Pro Wrestling NOAH dojo in Japan, touring across the country, competing almost every day, and training on their days off the road. They have seen compeition against the likes of Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Genba Hirayanagi, the GHC Jr. Tag Champions Kotaro Suzuki & Atsushi Aoki, Super Crazy, former GHC Heavyweight Champions like Takashi Sugiura & Naomichi Marfuji, & current AJPW Triple Crown Champion Jun Akiyama just to name a few. They not only competed in NOAH but also in Kensuke Sasaki’s Diamond Ring ring promotion where they competed in a 6-Man tag alongide Kensuke himself…



In addition to that 6-man, of particular note from The Bravados themselves were their tag matches against Genba/Kanemaru and Sugiura/Marufuji as well as their individual battles when Lancelot battled Suzuki & Harlem fought Sugiura.

“It was a wonderful experience going over to Japan.” Said Lancelot to ROHWrestling.com, “But man does it feel good to be back in North Carolina, eat some home cooked meals, and see our family again. I mean it was great beating Aoki and Go Shiozaki, it was great for Kensuke to team with us, but we can’t wait to get back to Ring of Honor and show everyone what we picked up while we were gone. So we’re coming back in Chicago and we’re coming back strong to represent the Bandwagon, the Tarheels, and make the family proud once again!”

(A quick aside…ROHWrestling.com did some homework and The Bravados did in fact beat Atsushi Aoki & Go Shiozaki but it was not in the wrestling ring…it was in a bowling competition….)

Well The Bravados are coming back on April 28th in Chicago Ridge and they are jumping straight into the mix as they square off with Matt & Nick Jackson, The Young Bucks! Before they left, Lancelot & Harlem had their fair share of contests with The Jacksons but never got that win over The Bucks. Could their international experience finally give them that missing element to launch them to the top of the tag team division? We will find out at “Unity” on 4/29 in Chicago Ridge!!!
