ROH UK Tour

Post by classic-cabana »

ROH hit the UK in less than two weeks. I'm going to Bolton, despite not being too high on current product, really looking forward to seeing them live, especially Rush and PCO for the first time.

Must admit, the meet and greet prices are a huge disappointment 😬. Can't justify paying those prices, especially this time of year

Marty Scurll - £30
Flip Gordon - £30
PCO/Brody - £40
RUSH - £30
Mark Haskins - £30
Joe Hendry - £30
Kenny King - £30
Tracy Williams - £30
Jeff Cobb - £30
Jonathan Gresham - £30

I’ll be at the London show - albeit somewhat underwhelmed by the card. The matches announced sound fine and should be fun (love Flamita as a replacement for Bandido of course) but can’t say anything has me enormously excited.

If ROH aren’t doing Rush/Scurll at Final Battle they are completely insane not to do it over the UK Tour.

Bolton has a great card on paper. Really looking forward to checking that one out.

I'll be going to Bolton. I really like the roster for this tour, with some new ROH names in the UK like Williams, Rush, PCO or Cobb, and then great and fresh international talent like Bailey, Flamita, Rampage or Aussie Open.

I wasn't sure about Bolton, but right now the card is pretty stacked:

Rush (c) vs. Cobb
Flip & Marty vs. Aussie Open
Flamita vs. Mike Bailey
Rampage Brown vs. Dalton Castle
Silas Young vs. Joe Hendry

The only thing that surprise me is Scurll's Booking, since it looks like it will be his last tour with ROH but nothing screams farewell if you ask me.

I'll be at the London and Bolton shows, both have matches I really want to seem, though the Bolton cards has those matches I think will really deliver.

Seeing Flamita for the first time is something I really looking forward too, and Mike Bailey is already a favourite of mine outside of any specific wrestling group. Will be great to see Aussie Open in an ROH ring on a bigger stage and hopefully it leads to a lot more for them. Also Rampage could really be something in ROH.

Think Bolton have been blessed with best two matches in Rush/Cobb and Flamita/Speedball.

Guessing there's at least one more match to be announced for Bolton.

Anyone know Mark Davis' currrent status? Still out with knee injury I believe

Maybe they are doing Briscoes vs. PCO&King in Bolton, looking at the talent that isn't booked yet on the show.

Davis is injured but maybe he'll be able to compete at the tour. Ian mentioned it during Glory By Honor, that is Davis finally cannot make it, they'll find a replacement.

They have ready made replacements in Lucky Kid and or Chris Brookes, Shadenfruede is really only a step away from Aussie Open in a the grand scheme of things so there isn't too much to worry about.

Brat Pack are from MCW in Autralia, who have been producing a lot of talent recently, they are meant to be a tag team on the up and seen as two guys with potential for sure. Would be two guys to certainly look and hopefully do well in ROH from the ground up.

RKJ is Ricky Knights son, aka brother of Paige (WWE) I imagine this a make do for using a promoters licence, maybe ring etc. He has talent though and again is a guy that is seen as being part of the next wave of brits coming through. Also as far as I know he isn't one of the insane members of the family. I could be wrong though.

RKJ is a great get for ROH. Very talented, really good young kid. Excited to see him in ROH.

Looks like there's going to be 8/9 matches announced for each show. Probably best to look at train times if you're getting train home

London looks better than I remember thinking it was. It's missing the main event caliber matches Bolton has, but it's six or seven deep with good matches. Newport is light in comparison, although it's three main tag matches all look real good. Lot of fresh matches on this tour.

Apart from a couple of matches I really like the cards, quite a lot of fresh talent throughout the whole tour and one or nice extra’s that all will hopefully lead somewhere as all of the talent coming onboard would really add a huge amount too the roster as a whole. Honestly it really shows what a quality wrestling promotion ROH could be with these cards.

Also it might just be me, but with the match up’s that Kyle and Kidd have, it looks like it could actually work really well and maybe better than if it were Aussie Open. You’ve got a dynamic already where Lucky Kidd is far more believable in taking a beating and Kyle coming in after the ‘hot’ tag. Plus the dynamic of Lucky and Kyle can add different elements of humour and frustration. It’s one thing I can never really truly believe is Kyle getting an ass kicking so much, he could kick the shit out of most people really.
