Personally I think this is totally the wrong match for Kenta, he needed to be in a singles match. Mainly for ROH's credibility as a promotion again. I hope the tag match leads to something and isn't just to give Kenta a win.

They are going to need two more big single matches to make up for this one.

It's not necessarily about the quality of the match, that can always be something that can go either way. It's about delivering a card people can feel excited about. A Kenta tag match involving these teams isn't one (just my opinion), especially when Ishimori and Kenta aren't even the natural tag team out of Bullet Club. Like I say if it leads to a bigger singles match for either Maff or Cobb down the line great but this is about what ROH needs now to sell tickets and get people back into the product. For me this match just doesn't do it. I am wondering if Cobb or Maff maybe both as a tag team will be on the NJPW March set of events and that will give this match more sense.

Personally I wanted to see Haskins vs Kenta.

I actually think it could really deliver considering the people involved and how each can interact. Like the intesity between Maff and Kenta, Cobb throwing Ishimori around and Ishimori countering with a lot electric speed. It could really connect really well, I;m just thinking about ticket sales more than anything.

Tag match is okay, would have preferred that particular pairing to be against Lethal and Gresham though think they reflect each other more

I used to do star ratings and then I decided probably a decade ago wrestling is subjective and I enjoy what I enjoy. Same applies for everyone else. Everyone should like what they like, wrestling is an infinite subject. I just don't think those matches were at the level of Kenta's mediocre work let alone the mind blowing stuff he did in NOAH and ROH.

Your list pretty much goes with the consensus of every reviewer or other influential tastemaker, so don’t worry too much about message boarders. The issue was never his work rate, but he never got momentum in NXT due to injuries and then got the 205 death slot. He needed a fresh start.
