ROH Bound By Honor: Miami Official Thread

With an influx of blue-chip free agents joining Ring of Honor’s talented roster, the future has never looked brighter for ROH as it returns to the Sunshine State for two Bound By Honor shows.

Your favorite stars will be in action in Lakeland, Fla., on Feb. 9 for an international television taping and Miami on Feb. 10 for a live event (which will stream LIVE for HonorClub), jockeying for position as ROH heads toward 17th Anniversary in Las Vegas, the final stop on the Road to G1 Supercard in Baltimore, and finally, G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

So from what happend in Texas and from ROH has been tweeting recently, it looks like the first matches for this show will be:

- ROH World TV Title: Jeff Cobb vs. Rocky Romero
- ZSJ vs. Colt Cabana
- Mark Briscoe vs. PCO
- ROH WOH World Title: Kelly Klein (c) vs. Mayu Iwatani

With the last one, I assume they'll also book Jay Briscoe vs. Brody King.

Sound like some good stuff so far. If they're booking V.E. vs the heel group (do they have a name yet? Silas/Briscoes/Bully/Taylor?) I could see Silas vs Marty or Willie Mack being added. Bandido vs Bully Ray at some point possibly.

It looks like Colt is moving to more of a wrestler role which is interesting, especially vs Sabre, I do wonder if it means the pure title is coming back because Colt in that enviroment would be really interesting.

For a TV taping it sounds good so far, I guess we will get Rush vs Vinny in there too, plus maybe another match from RUSH, as I think you need that big match to sell a few tickets.

We should get Brody vs Jay, which I am really looking forward too.

I guess we will see Willie vs Silas/Taylor and Jeff Cobb vs Silas/Taylor at some point either at the TV tapins or Miami.

For sure the Cobb vs Romero

Marty must be having a match in there somewhere too, maybe Gresham someone like that.

Really that's pretty stacked even without mentioning Bandido and the others.

I think Mami will be the really interesting one just because of the arena size and what's going forward.

In as flattering a way as can be, these matches really look like a classic ROH B-show. Probably because of all the talent that's been around since the early and late aughts, but you get what I mean--a string of solid singles matches that can't sell on their own but together are compelling.

This may also be a night where they main event with either a TV or WOH Title defense!

Considering that we have a lot of talents without a match, people like Rush or Bandido, I think ROH can book a big match that will draw well.

Also, I'd say this card will be a combination of both, storylines and strong matches with semi-regular talent.

Wow, that's a clever main event! I still don't think that The Kingdom should be in main event matches, but a lot of story spokes intersecting and dispersing in this matchup.
