Great! Really looking foward to that, hope in a near future.

Regarding compilations, if you gotta chose one from The Briscoes, I'd say The Baddest Tag Team on the Planet is the best one, it covers their 07 stuff, with some end of 06 and early 08, which could be considered their "prime".

We'd love to have the Briscoes amongst others actually on the show but ROH has been impossible and doesn't take criticism lightly. For a company to exist since 2002, and to have absolutely no interest in exploring that history with people who were there for most of it is absurd. ~JS
Oh man, that sucks. It would be really cool to have talent on the show, maybe is easier with people who already left.
We've always told talent and office people to run it by management before agreeing to appear. When they come to us, especially. Unfortunately it's Joe and Greg who shut it down.

Maybe if we were honor club girls it would be ok.

Finally got around to listening to the Injustice II episode. As someone who was in the crowd that night, I have to say that your description of the mood in the crowd throughout the main event was spot on.

Argh, now that you mention It, I'm always super positive but the honor club girls is something I dont get.

There are a lot of longtime fans that do coverage or show support on social media but the company never cared about; now there's this Group and in One year ROH treats them like the only fans and the most important people on their fanbase. Doesn't really makes sense to me.

Tens of thousands of dollars from people like Greg H, Tom Bobo, Evander, Matty B, Larry, and I’m not even going to talk about what I’ve spent on gas, plane tickets, merch, etc because it’s less than those guys. But this honor club girls nonsense is disgusting. Love new fans and they’re passion is admirable but you don’t ever put any faction of fans on a pedestal and I think myself included amongst those who have been around since literally the VHS days, are insulted by it. ~ JS

This 100%. This is how relationships with fanbases work in every other show/sport. It's great to see fan interaction, but all fans should be trated equal, and not like there are "better" or "more respected" fans than others.

When they got the "10 Questions" article on the website with one of the HC Girls I was really surprised. As you said, they are a passionate group of fans and I love to see new people investing on the product and getting emotional with it, it's not their fault; it's a bad move by ROH, tbh.

A real life sports example, our Canton Charge (The Cavs minor league basketball team), sent me a condolence card for my Grandfather's recent passing. They don't do that with everyone but because he was a man of respect around town and was along with myself an initial season ticket holder 9 years and counting they felt it was the right thing to do. We felt honored as a family they'd do that. Did ROH do that after 13 years of going to shows and spending a fortune? No, they didn't give a shit.

If the staff of 10 years ago were on duty now, I'd have gotten more comments than from just the bulk of the wrestlers. The issue is that you either do it for the most special of cases or you don't do it at all. This honor club girls nonsense is gender inclusive and these people couldn't tell you what existed before Matt Taven got a push (mary kate excluded). Bandwagon fans keep companies in business but they don't keep business consistent.

It's insulting to long time fans like myself and others and yet another reason to add to the list of tone deaf ROH management including booking included.

What a night in the history of Ring of Honor; not only did it mark the departure of Colt Cabana for WWE, but it also marked the last (for the time being) night for several other roster members! Aries, Daniels, and Homicide all departed for TNA, while SHINGO ended his U.S. excursion to return home to Dragon Gate.

Suffice it to say, the landscape of ROH would be quite different come April 29th, BUT the night of the 28th, now that was a celebration of Cabana and everything he brought to the table the last 5 years. It was his evening, it just so happened to be supported by a tremendous night of wrestling!

Join Jeff & Shane as they dive into the 2007 waters of Chicago Ridge for "Good Times, Great Memories" on this week's An Honorable Mention!

Kyle who?

For some reason we can see that being the response, but what you all need to know is that Kyle Durden is a man who lived the Ring of Honor experience from every aspect.

Training at the ROH Academy under Bryan Danielson, going on the road as part of the crew and eventually a wrestler, having enough self-awareness to tolerate being told "you suck" by Adam Pearce, and learning to steer his natural gifts into a role that was perfect: backstage announcer/interviewer/correspondent/whatever.

It's about the experience of not fitting the wrestling mold behind the scenes or in the locker room, it's about thinking the life of a wrestler was to be lived in a certain way, and Kyle honestly discussing the ugly parts of who he was during that time.

Durden also had to face the death of the dream when "ROH on HDNet" ended and he was left, along with many others, on the shelf waiting to be called back into the game.

That never happened...at least not with Ring of Honor.

This is also the story of what comes next , after the dream is over, and how things can actually come full circle in real life, not just in the movies. From the dingy facility of the Bristol office/school to the NWA Crockett Cup of 2019, this is the journey of Kyle Durden...

Brought to you by Tiege Hanley, where you can save 20% off with code HONORABLEMENTION, for the 1st time ever, we are dropping two interviews in a row!

It fell in our lap thanks to Kyle Durden, and was too good to pass up. This week, Jeff & Shane welcome former ROH Producer & Social Media guru Dave Lagana to the program!

We discuss his 1st exposure to ROH in 2003, his entry into the production team, the ups and downs of creating "ROH on HDNet", and everything that went into making that product.

We also delve into how his ROH time ended, a brief dip into the TNA pool, and then a dive into the waters of the NWA resurgence! We talk how Dave & Billy Corgan bought the NWA & what that entailed, what differentiates it from the pack, the Crockett Cup, and the future of not only the NWA, but the general wrestling landscape as well!

Much thanks to Dave for squeezing us into his insane schedule to make this happen, and joining us to explore some of the uncharted waters of ROH's past!

Listened to the last two episodes with Durden and Lagana, really interesting to see how HD Net felt for everyone in thier own ways, for a first venture into TV I honestly enjoyed a lot of it because you could tell people were learning and developing. Overall Lagana sounds like a guy that really needs to be full time with ROH, he has the knowledge and the know how to really pull together a young locker room and production teams which I hope ROH is moving towards.

Durden was interesting from his own personal journey through it all, although like with any interview things can always be delved into more but it felt a fun and interesting chat with someone who was in this era.

The thing I notice from people talking is the time, and not just in this podcast but others too, is when Sinclair took over, it really sounds like it could have gone belly up if it wasn't for people taking a huge shot to the jaw and just kept on going despite it having a billion dollar company owning it. It's one the things I find amazing is that ROH still has a limited budget despite the investment obviously being provided ROH is still working within a certain boundery.

I can tell you with both interviews we ended up not having as much time with both as we initially planned. Kyle had to exit due to work(Hard Rock Cafe ATL PLUG!), and Lagana was traveling for War of the Worlds. Probably could have spent another 3 hours with Dave and Durden has so many stories he should have his own show. I'd like to do some stuff for Patreon with Kyle down the road because HDNet has a lot of unknown stories I think would be fun for fans to hear. Lagana gave us an extra 30 min than planned so thanks to Dave for his time. He's so busy he even made breakfast during the show!

Thanks for listening!

Yeah I can completely understand that man, there were just instances that I wished were delved deeper into but obviously time wouldn't allow it and that's obviously out of your control. I would there would be the possiblity of sitting down with both at a later date.

Already being discussed for more time. Especially considering how the feedback has been on both. We've got a very special episode tentatively scheduled for the end of June with someone who just exited ROH that will be lengthy, detailed and probably the most fun and comical inside show to date. I'm really excited about it, so is Shane. ~JS

ROH in the heart of New York City!!! It took 3 years, but finally Ring of Honor was running in the shadow of Madison Square Garden, and wat an event it brought to the table! Headlined, on paper at least, by a Dog Collar Match and a World Title match, it would prove to be a shocking evening to Samoa Joe and the skull/spine of Jay Lethal!!

It would also mark like the only time Hagadorn's ringside camera footage was used in his one year of filming, a night someone may have peed under the ring, and other shenanigans!
