Favorite ROH arena?

Post by braves87 »

My favorite was watching the iPPV's last year at Honor Takes Center Stage. That stage has so much history and seeing ROH there was neat.

Obviously a lot of mine is based on how shows look on DVD so it may be a little different - but some of my faves are as follows:

RexPlex
Liverpool Olympia
Differ Ariake
New Yorker Hotel
Hammerstein Ballroom
Center Stage Theatre

I loved the Asbury Park venue for Best Of American Super Juniors...and I also like the Cleveland venue (I thought it had a cool, old school look for DVD) and the Richmond building (because it looks so weird on DVD!)...oh, and that building they ran the 'Destiny' show in 2006 as I thought the astroturf/faux grass around the ring was pretty novel...

Obviously loved the Olympia and would love ROH to return there.

Really miss the New Yorker too, some of my fave shows/moments have come from there and has a special place in my heart. It was a cracking venue and atmosphere and emplifies the greatness that was 2005 ROH.

Gotta say the Grand Ballroom. I like the smaller size and the way things are set up more than the Hammerstein.

If they could run the Grand Ballroom or Hammerstein, but not let the NYC douches in, it would be great...

I was quite keen on the venue they used for Survival of the Fittest '07. Empire Ballroom in Vegas, I believe.

The Oven!

Mostly because it's ten minutes from where I live and one of the few venues I've attended shows at. I'm glad ROH is branching out to Hara since you could only stuff about 600 fans or so into the Fairgrounds Coliseum, but I'll miss the atmosphere.

Damn was it hot in there in the spring and summer, though.

Although it was never one of the closest, I attended many many shows there over the years. Loved the fans and met some great people in Dayton.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hot there though in the summer, this makes my top 3 for sure

Is that venue locally known as "The Oven"? That would be sweet.
