Hiromu vs. Daniels-wonder if they'll mention the partnership he had with The Addiction last year? Can't believe this is a match I hadn't thought of.

Great main and semi for Chicago.
Big Red Machine wrote: Mon Oct 02, 2017 9:33 am The problem is that it feels like they're not using the New Japan talent well. When the shows were announced, the New Japan crew coming over was much smaller than it is now (looking back at the beginning of the thread it was just KUSHIDA, K.E.S., Hiromu, Omega, and YOSHI-HASHI). Now we've got Yano, Suzuki, Trent, more Omega... the show feels very bogged down with these big pointless tag matches (and you know there are going to be a lot more when you look at all of the pointless undercard dreck guys on the ROH side of things. You're right that there is no reason to just spam out Omega dream matches in these smaller markets (especially if you just want to test the effect his very presence will have on a smaller market), but you've got to deliver something that feels both exciting and like the New Japan talent are being used well.
Very well said. It was talked about a few months ago when these shows were first announced that the idea of bringing a conservative group of NJPW talent would benefit the "supercard" shows in the long run. Get talent over in a particular city, pay it off the next year in a title match; bring young lions in via tours, be a part of their growth (even if it isn't a pilgrimage); bring in a Nagata or a Kojima or a Tiger Mask, have them put over one of your up-and-comers; start actually coordinating with Gedo, plant seeds during a tour for a program that connects both promotions. Eventually the blanket supercard concept won't work as it used to, so utilize talent and opportunities when they're presented.

We discussed this on the newscast (which will come out Tues 10/03/17) and Rich kind of felt that perhaps it was because it is on a Thurs

The tag match could be hilarious. Cody and Scurll are a very funny team, add Yano and you have one of the funniest matches in recent memory.

I actually like Yano"s comedy. Because it's not being funny for the sake of being funny. There's meaning behind it, tells story.
