Would of made more sense to do Fish vs Scurll since Fish has yet to have his rematch for the tv title.

Why, exactly, is Naito vs. Punishment Martinez a "grudge match?"

Martinez was in a tag match with Naito and LIJ at Honor Rising. Naito, the biggest heel in the company and current IC champion, asked Martinez if he wanted to become a member of Los Ingobernables. He didn't want to and turned on Naito. Yeah, kindda stupid, but you know, ROH calls almost every match "Grudge match".

What a card. That has real potential to be the best ROH PPV yet.

Huh. Well if the plan was to book a match based off of that then they probably should have at least mentioned this occurrence on commentary at SCOH or Manhattan Mayhem or whenever.

On paper, yes, but the emotion won't be there because of the lack of build and/or heat. The main event is the only match that feels like it has any real emotion behind it.

Yeah, who cares about build-up and emotions when you can have worthless """dream""" matches with ROH scrubs/TNA and WWE castoffs and NJPW wrestlers going 20% because they don't give a shit? That's some super high-end shit right there.

How are you going to build matches and give them "Emotion" when half of the show's roster is in Japan?? And I for one couldn't give a damn about emotion in or building a match. Just give me good wrestling, IDC if the story is paper thin, or even non-existent. Exactly why I love NJPW and PWG, they have minor storyline/build, and put it all in the wrestling.

Welcome back, inevitable and tired May conversations. WOTW shows are usually good, though usually symptomatic of larger issues for ROH.

They did during Martinez vs Hanson and Martinez vs Kaz. "He's his own man" was said with references to Whitmer and LIJ.

Eh....not a big fan of the PPV in NYC having nine matches on it. Eight is a perfect number for a PPV. With nine, matches are going to get cut a little short. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it could definitely hurt the quality of the show (see the 14th Anniversary Show as an example)
