Official 15th Anniversary Show (PPV) Thread

Post by DXvsNWO1994 »

Ring of Honor returns to Las Vegas to celebrate its 15th Anniversary!

ROH 15th Anniversary Show
Las Vegas, Nevada 3/10/17

- ROH World Title - Adam Cole vs. Decade of Excellence Tournament Winner

I'll update this thread once more stuff starts getting announced.

Also, just to be clear, this thread is strictly for the PPV, not the TV Tapings the next day.

I'm shocked they haven't announced anything outside of Cole/Daniels at this point.

If the announced Evolve appearance with Michael Elgin didn't make it obvious enough, Donovan Dijak will be in wXw's annual 16 Carat Gold Tournament, which is the same weekend as the 15th Anniversary Show.

And judging by the Atlanta tapings, this will be a pretty thrown together card.

ROH is really hedging their bets on the Mania show.

So we got Cole vs. Daniels, POSSIBLY Bucks/White and RUSH, OR White vs. Jay Briscoe and Rush vs. Scurll TV Title, OR POSSIBLY White/MCMG vs. Kingdom, and Cody vs. Lethal likely. ROH is really hedging on the Daniels story for this show. What I'd like to see the card look like personally:

ROH World Title:
Adam Cole (c) vs. Christopher Daniels

ROH World Tag Team Titles:
Young Bucks (c) vs. Lio Rush and Jay White

The Briscoes vs. Shane Taylor and *Whoever his partner ends up as. Jax Dane personally*

ROH World Television Title:
Marty Scurll (c) vs. Bobby Fish

No Disqualification:
Jay Lethal vs. "The American Nightmare" Cody

ROH World 6 Man Tag Team Titles:
The Kingdom vs. Dalton Castle and The Boys

OMG! Roppongi Vice laid out a ROH Tag Title challenge for the Bucks at the PPV! And they want a Roppongi Street Fight!

happy to see rpg vice back

this is good news but for the other half we know that bucks are gonna retain against war machine and white/rush so they kill some hype for that matches

but you know... that 3 tag team tittle defenses are gonna be amazing.

So since Lio/Rush vs. Bucks is happening at Manhattan Mayhem, what are the odds that the White/Briscoe rematch takes place here? It'd kind of make sense, with a young guy taking on an ROH Original.

So, we have an amazing Street Fight match between Bucks and RPG Vice. Looking at the build up they're making, it looks like Lethal will face Cody on some type of No DQ match at the PPV too. Two big No DQ matches on the same show?

And especially with the complete and total lack of build on the first one. It's just like the Bucks vs. Briscoes match and The Experience and a bunch of other things they've been doing. They're just hot-shotting gimmicks for absolutely no reason other than to hot-shot. That's the mark of a booker who is either incompetent or out of ideas.

White vs. Briscoe would be a good match for this show. Anniversary shows should have a match or two featuring a legend/veteran vs. a young guy.

I'd assume Fish vs. Page will end up on here, no way Fish becomes champion at Manhattan Mayhem and no way there's no Bullet Club interference. Hell, maybe they'll do Fish/Lethal vs. Cody/Page.

No they don't. Roppoingi Vice beat the Bucks clean at the Dome, and even if they didn't why would that earn Roppogi Vice a title shot. And even if you could argue that they do kayfabe deserve a title shot and that there is build, it's not a good idea to book a match based off of a feud that happened in a company half way around the world.

Right. For a fellow European to do a send-up on the idea of something like that toward a Belgian is just beyond gross. Has no place here.

I haven't been caught up with ROH TV lately, but did their air the Decade of Excellence Tournament Finals yet?

Agreed. I don't find any NJPW relevance from a storyline perspective on a ROH show.
