Hey everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself as part of the new team that will be revamping ROHWorld.com. I wanted to hear from all you about things you want to see out of ROHWorld.com

I have a few ideas such as putting up full results, Title histories, ETC on the main site. But wanted to know if there is anything here in the forum or main site that you would like to see more of.

I'm also looking at more interviews with ROH talent, past and present. Possibly some video creation. More interactive twitter usage.

So sound off, anything you want, I want to hear about it. Thanks and I hope we can all make ROHworld.com better in the coming year.

Mobile version that runs as well as Voices of Wrestling.

I suppose I should offer to make my retro thread into an official nostalgia column for the site.

I am not on VoW as much as I would like but I'll take a look and see what they do for mobile

Mobile is the big thing I want, as when I switched phones, the mobile site suddenly disappeared for me.

Call-in podcasts open the door for people's voices to be heard that have no business being on the air. Mailbag is a much better alternative so the actual podcast hosts can read the questions in a polished manner.

On my other site PWP we had did do a live podcast for a short time with a mailbag live reading plus chatroom interaction. I think that's a fun option for sure. The only reason we stopped doing it live was because schedules didn't line up as time went on but I think a live chat/mailbag option would be fun.

Not so much a new option. Nothing against the current guys, but some more Mods. I don't know about Robareid but he hasn't been on in months and adduvall can't watch everything himself. The reason I say this is because some of the newer guys on here are insulting some long timers who can't do shit about it. I nominate Wilson. He is diplomatic and has actually called for a Mod on more than one occasion.

Great news! I would like more social media interaction in order to get newer users. I mean, I like the current community, but having some others guys is always interesting.

A video creation sound cool to me, but I would like to see the podcast again. I'm a podcast lover and yes, we have the Podcast of Honor on the PWP website, but I would like to have another podcast.

The mobile version isn't working for me too. It used to, but three weeks ago it desappeared from my mobile.

+1 Yeah, I would like supersonic's thread to be the official nostalgia column. You know, when someone wants to talk some old matches or shows we could go there and talk about it.

I certainly think having a main podcast show would add a lot to the site and ROH as a whole, having interviews live or recorded with stars of ROH is great, you could also have a break down of topics say interviewing guys who are announced for the top prospect tournament or new signings like Coady, Ospreay etc.

I think trying to interact with ROH the company/promotion more as a whole would be welcome, say creating competitions, special giveaways etc for tickets, special VIP packages for certain events like Wrestlemania weekend/foreign tours as well as your general DVD's, TShirts. I think though more important is just generally connecting with this site more because in all honesty ROH should welcome a connectable voice that allows them to see what is working for the fan base and what isn't.

Also whatever Supersonic says there are a lot of guys on here no matter their opinion have enough knowledge and create enough discussion that I feel would add a lot to a podcast and considering their are many like myself based outside the US it creates a wider base of opinions.

Certainly agree that their needs to be a better sense on control within threads at times, their does need to be someone that has a sensible head and Wilson certainly does have that.

I agree with more mods, a mobile version and more activity on social media.

In the past, there was another homepage where you could access the reviews, the results, etc ...(look at the archive page, you already have all the categories).
Since you want to bring all that content back, i think we need a new or the return of the previous one.
I don't know if it is possible here, but i've seen some websites where you could comment directly under the articles, and they were added to a corresponding thread on the forum. That feature would be great.

Considering the official roster page on rohwrestling.com is extremely outdated (where are Keith Lee, Shane Taylor, LSG, Shaheem Ali, Jonathan Gresham, Will Ospreay, Marty Scurll, Cody Rhodes, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan, Jay White, Damien Martinez and half of the women ?), we could have one. A list of the tag teams and the trios would be nice too.

Moderators, quite certainly. Some people and some ideas stir the pot, and it makes the place quite messy in rapid fashion. I believe only two users have moderator's privileges, Robareid and aduvall, neither of which seem to frequent the board any longer. DXvsNWO1994 does a lot for this board, has been around forever, follows wrestling at large, has various other responsibilities on other websites, and generally never posts in a disruptive behavior. He should probably be the first choice. (Though, Mr. Mojo Risin and BurningHammer, big man and medium-sized man, too sweet to both of you.)

And a summary of other possible improvements:

Engineering:
- Correct the frequent "508 Resource Limit Reached" error that plagues the site
- Upload images from desktop, rather than by URL only
- Embedding tweets
- Editing lists how many times comment was edited and at what time--it's a little old-fashioned; could just read "post has been edited"
- Perhaps there should be four bulletins: General ROH Discussion, ROH Spoilers Discussion, Other Wrestling Discussion, Off-Topic
- Chatroom clients for discussion during live events
- I don't really use them, nor do I generally favor them, but we should probably have redesigned emojis
- Options to display pages at 10 posts/page, 15 posts/page, 20 posts/page
- Wiki/search system (which is long shot, I imagine, due to difficulty)

Editorial:
- If editors are to be brought in, they should interact with members on the board as well as publish their own workstuffs
- Podcasts after PPV and tapings
- Encouraging of poster-run events or games: DXvsNWO hosts Pick 'Ems, Burnside ran a Fantasy League of sorts, I will be doing an end of the year thread; I would like others to be added as well
- Emphasis on NJPW and CMLL coverage as well; occasionally discuss the effects of ROH/independent wrestling in WWE

I am certainly looking into this and hoping to hear back. The second best thing I am efforting is already reaching out to ROH related producers such as Filsinger Games, Figure Toy Co, ETC and wrestlers such as the YB to see if they would be interested in doing stuff in conjunction with this site such as a YB Merch contest ETC.

All things I am looking into doing before I put the original site back up. I definitely want content from our members and will be looking to utilizing a system similar to MMAFighting.com which allows for forum users to post articles (while being reviewed by staff first) that get put up on the main site.

In terms of commenting and/or utilizing a system where a thread is created, I think the author of the article could definitely do this where they create the article, it gets posted, then they create a thread in here and link it in their article for people to comment. Having public comments is fine too but I feel that keeping discussion in one core place is easier and better for users at this point.

I responded to the thread about the 508 thing but I will say I asked Harry to call in about it since the hosting is still technically under him for now but I will be transferring all of this over to my hosting soon which I believe should alleviate some of this as I believe it to be a bandwidth problem.

I have limited interaction with phpBB as I generally have used other systems for forums but I will certainly try to make the board a little more user friendly. Particularly when it comes to mobile. I checked out the site on mobile and while it worked, I certainly found it more tedious than I would like and it seems many of you as well. I am seeing if we can integrate it with Tapatalk if that is an option you're open to or I'll just find a more mobile friendly theme.

A live chatroom on top of the Discussion boards I am also considering as they can be fun and definitely useful during live results if we do them but we'll see. One step at a time.

Happy to see my suggestion of Wilson being a Moderator has become a reality.
