The posters have gotten better and the matches are a great touch, but I wish they would stop using them as DVD covers. I'd much rather see a more unique cover with actual images from the show.

The match set up is looking really nice for the Florida shows, shame no one really knows them and have just been told about Bull James and Silas Young vs Cole, no disrispect to either but you really need to ham up the rest of the card on these shows.

Results from ROH's Twitter page. Tweets all have videos in them.

Bull James arrives
(https://twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/ ... 4466028544)

Pre match hype from Mark Briscoe
(https://twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/ ... 1320735745)

Mark Briscoe beat Kaz

Post match hype from Mark Briscoe
(https://twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/ ... 3341461504)

Kenny King and Caprice Coleman beat St. Giovanni and Ali, who may be going by the team name of Coast to Coast, so let's hope they put Space Ghost somewhere up on their gear.
(https://twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/ ... 5789357061)

Tempura Boyz vs. War Machine has been added

Guessing War Machine won. They issued a challenge to Taylor & Lee for San Antonio. (https://twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/ ... 5532801024)

Hangman Page vs. Dalton Castle up now. Page wins.

KOR wins 4CS. No surprise. Confronted by Dijak backstage to hype their match tomorrow.
(https://twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/ ... 7795477504)

Cheeseburger and Will Ferrara scored an upset against Punishment Martinez and BJ Whitmer. They currently have a winning streak of 3 wins and look it to make it 4 tomorrow in an as-of-yet-announced match.
(https://twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/ ... 0079216640)

Bobby Fish beats Rhett Titus
(https://twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/ ... 6343948288)

Adam Cole beat Bull James in a Proving Ground match after interference from Martinez and Whitmer, who confronted James as seen above before the show about their match tomorrow. Probably pissed about the upset from earlier. Wasn't on the ROH Twitter page (actually @MrJacobCohen, who's a great source for results from Florida shows), but Mr. Wrestling III made the save and was dressed like Dusty Rhodes when he fought Steve Corino in their infamous ECW match.

Hangman over Castle is pretty huge with the push they've been giving Castle. Maybe Page beats Fish for the TV Title. Don't really want to see Page vs. Dragon Lee at Final Battle though.

Nothing going on this Saturday night for ol' TYFDK either, so let's do some results. Again, results from Twitter. Once again, @MrJacobCohen is at a Florida ROH show and he's a great source for results. Best scoops on the Twitter.

Dark match, a 6 man. Apparently Josh Woods from Tough Enough was in it. His team won.

Kennadi Brink beat Amber Gallows in a Women of Honor match.

Chris Sabin is injured, and Alex Shelley & Jay White will face The Cabinet tonight.

Kyle O'Reilly beat Donovan Dijak. Nana isn't happy with the loss. Someone you wouldn't expect tells him nice work, however.

(https://twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/ ... 4966785024)

Cabinet vs. Shelley/White about to happen. Kenny King decides he doesn't like how he's treated in ROH, proceeds to leave, Caprice and Rhettski follow to try to stop him. War Machine out to face the team in the ring. Shelley & White win.

The Cabinet proceeded to take over ROH's Twitter account. They posted pictures of themselves and retweeted old Caprice Coleman tweets, as well as leaving the video below, before ROH got the account back. They promised something is going down with them October 29th in Baltimore.
(https://twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/ ... 4362696705)

Hangman Page beats Mark Briscoe.

Punishment Martinez & BJ Whitmer beat Bull James & Mr. Wrestling III.

Jay Lethal beat Kamaitachi.

Cheeseburger & Will Ferrara beat Coast to Coast (Shaheem Ali & Leon St. Giovanni) & the Tempura Boyz.

Bobby Fish beat Jay Briscoe by DQ from interference by Hangman Page. The match is then turned into a 3 way dance.

Hangman Page beat Bobby Fish & Jay Briscoe.

Castle & Cabana beat The Addiction. They made some sort of challenge to the Briscoes afterwards.
(https://twitter.com/ringofhonor/status/ ... 4856017920)

Adam Cole defeated Silas Young to retain the ROH World Championship. Cole will go on to defend it next month against Jay Lethal in London.

It's a poor number regardless, but it isn't exactly like they seated for that many people, if they drawn that many a lot of people would be standing considering the seating.

Many people are looking at booking but there are so many variables to what it could be especially the booking has made far more sense and been a lot better over the last three months, far from perfect but still I can actually enjoy a lot of the booking now.

They've never drawn well in Florida. I think it's time to just stop trying for a while.

Yeah it seems to be a difficult area for most promotions, NXT draws probably around 300 on average at their house if not lower, TNA doesn't exactly do great number either so I don't know why there is such a strong wrestling environment in the Florida area considering the lack of numbers.

I also don't know if it is a really big Television Market for ROH, then with the main event, it being a Friday as well as I imagine ROH's lack of promotion leading up to the events which seems to be something they really lack I doubt it was ever going to be that great.

Hopefully the Lakeland crowd was a good number and can be a place for ROH to build within Florida. Although I do think they need to make a concerted effort to build up Chicago again. Maybe this year has been a big learning curve for ROH when it comes to areas that they can trust to draw.

We have a winner . Anything from Bauer regarding ROH should be taken with a grain of salt.

Or you know, people slowly but surely realising that those house shows are pretty much meaningless at this point.

The Cole/Silas match reminded me a lot of the BJ Whitmer/Jay Briscoe title match from Virginia a few years ago in that they did everything they could to make the match a big deal in terms of work and drama, but it was absolutely in front of the wrong market. Put the match that they had in front of a Milwaukee crowd and it would have been really something for factors such as the Milwaukee crowd actually caring on top of it being Silas's home market. Part of me wonders if they were originally going to do something like Sydal or Lethal (both being home state talents, that may have garnered a better reception than a heel/heel match) but things got changed and they opted to just do the match there.

The Lakeland crowd was very apathetic, only popping for big spots and some of the names that they recognized like Lethal, Cabana, and Bull Dempsey. There were occasional acts that got pops like Dalton, but even guys like the Briscoes were not as over as they should have been. Most of the matches were solid range. Lethal/Kamaitachi was pretty good and had one crazy spot that was also seen recently.
Spoiler: show
running sunset flip bomb by Kamaitachi on Lethal from the apron to the floor
Failure of a weekend for Bull James as well. I was willing to give him a chance, but he showed absolutely nothing to give ROH reason to say "bring me back," even though ROH will likely bring him back anyway.

I think that could have been leveled at ROH previously, especially this year but I think after June/July there has been a effort to make house shows make sense and build up feuds, angles and matches.

Given the TV/PPV time that angles and matches were given leading into the the last four house shows I don't think that could be said here either really. Maybe as has been said, if it was a different guy instead of Silas it might have delivered a bigger crowd. I do think it was in the wrong market for Silas especially with the build they had but again it could have been a booking change that resulted in Silas getting the build. I don't think you could level the idea that these house shows meant nothing what so ever.

Like I said it was a bad draw and there could be a lot more reasons for it other than just booking, i'm sure Bauer is correct with the numbers, although I don't believe there isn't a little bitterness towards ROH considering how his attitude changed once he left. To be honest I wish he came back as he did a great job when he was there.
