Eh, MCMG and Jay White have been together literally since White started his excursion in ROH. And The Rebellion have been together for months. You're right, there's no story behind why The Kingdom are facing them but title defenses are title defenses.

Being together for a while isn't enough of a reason for a title shot. I'd like them to earn one by getting some wins.
I actually would have been more behind the White & MCMG title defense if MCMG's recruitment efforts hadn't been framed (in White's case retroactively) as them recruiting an army to fight Bullet Club.
