Okay.

The gimmick where Jay plays Roddy's promo and responds point for point directly to what Roddy said - when was the last time he did something that interesting on TV?

When was the last time Jay Briscoe cut a promo on TV from anywhere else besides swaying back and forth in front of an ROH backdrop?

Jay didn't curse once in this promo beyond saying "ass".

The version of Jay Briscoe in his own videos cuts promos that sell tickets. The version on TV is a one-dimensional gimmick who repeats catch-phrases.

So is something similar of what i was saying about hating the backstage promo format, I agree with that then.

NXT backstage promo are the same, i think that concept as a whole is outdated, EVOLVE documentary promos are great, in-ring promos are also good or outside promos.

Did you just state that you don’t see a difference and then admit that you see a difference, even preferring one promo style over another, and then say that you, in general, hate ROH’s produced backstage segments. Like, what the heck?

To pad back to Jay Briscoe, he’s tight-wound-serious and absurd all without the slightest trace of irony. He can still do all this without cursing, and those YouTube promos are probably TV-ready as made. He’s stellar there and the ROH team should be doing their best to represent that on their shows.

I don´t see a difference in the character or style, Jay Briscoe is the same on TV and on the youtube promos. I agree that he come across better in the youtube promos before he is in a better environment and can be more himself.

The thing is I doubt ROH wants to add more time their production costs or time by heavily editing their TV promo's.What ROH should do if they are not is encourage more of the guys to promo's in their outside lives like this. It just helps everyone.

The Horror! The HORROR!!!
Don't get me wrong, he is one of the best on the mic, but his singles matches suck, at least on a regular basis and in a main event environment.

I'm curious. How does Jay fail to deliver as a singles wrestler?

Go look at all his title defenses, which all were pretty weak with the exception of the occasional gimmick match. He's just too banged up to work a work-heavy style anymore, and his brawling style just doesn't come across well in the main event scene.

I think that's the best I've seen from Hanson and Rowe. Maybe there's hope for them.

First off the top of my head was Samoa Joe at SCOH. That was a pretty damn epic match.

And War Machine look as awkward as they usually do the very next promo. At least we have this:

I'm way back into Coleman now.

Last night was my first ROH show ever in Collinsville, and it was awesome. I had a better time than any of the WWE events that I have attended. Me and my friends had a blast, other than one thing....section C, row 2. There was an extremely overweight man that smelled like total feces and B.O. I really am not joking, it was completely disgusting, the worst I have ever experienced. I was 8 seats down from him and the smell was so offensive that we could not stand it and people were all commenting how disgusting it was. If you are going to be around a crowd, please take a bath. Otherwise, awesome show!
