wasted talent, they didn't give them opportunity to prove something after the split with dalton castle...sad.

They did a dark match that may have aired on Youtube after the last Philly tv taping. The Tate Twins got one of the biggest pops of the night. The audience knew who they were and would have been invested if they were given anything to do.

So much here to really get into details. Really bad look for management on several area's.

I did find the Shane Taylor comment very odd. If they didn't plan on resigning him, why have him hold the TV title for like 2/3 of the year?!?

Either way, this looks like it could get uglier as the ship slowly sinks. The lack of caring on SBG behalf is upsetting. How much of ROH's issues could be fixed with better management?

They're definitely not treating Taylor like a guy they're not planning to re-sign.

But then again, who the hell can explain half the shit that goes on.

I don’t know but I think across the board it’s too late to fix. Punt it to AEW or WWE and move on. It really makes me sad.

Yeah, at this point a WWE buyout or becoming an AEW developmental might be best case scenario. I don't think ROH is completely dead in the water, but just seems like the company lacks management and direction, to steer it back to where it needs to be. If the "big plans" for 2020 don't work, we could be entering the 2014-TNA ish era of ROH.... if we aren't there already.

Really sucks for ROH, with so much talent and history. they've really molded the industry, and changed the game the last 17 years.

(my thoughts as a fan, cause obviously i'm not behind the scenes)

It's far from impossible to turn this around, it's just a matter of whether or not the desire is there.

Remember that a few years ago, Impact literally paid 75 fans 50 bucks each to attend Bound for Glory, gave away several comps, and still couldn't draw 300 people. Look at where they are now.

Impact got a huge Hail Mary by getting bought by a television company that already aired the product and then got lucky enough to have Chris Jericho tell them who to hire after a disastrous Jeff Jarrett era. At this point who would even want to take the job of rebuilding this brand and be able to handle the corporate atmosphere needed to secure the finances and putting the proper people in place. It's not impossible but it's a monumental task.

I still think Sinclair's original purpose for buying ROH remains a compelling reason why it'll stick around: cheap programming. Sinclair buys more and more networks every year, and the only programming they actually produce in-house is ROH and a news show.

They're not going to be drawing big crowds any time soon but I do think it can be rebuilt. I think part of the reason things have probably gotten this bad is that ROH was relatively self sufficient for a long while, so nobody at Sinclair cared to disrupt the status quo.

It's salvageable. The road will be long and bumpy. But as HonorableMention has pointed out many times, without changes at the top nothing will really change. We as fans can't be in denial of that anymore.

Replacing people in Gregg’s and other people in the more corporate backstage positions isn’t hard. Having someone competent at what they do should never be a hard ask, if you have people genuinely failing at what they are meant to be doing while creating an unsafe working environment could lead to many issues it’s unreal.

I’d much rather see people like Gregg go way before Delirious, creativity can come and go in terms of what hits and what doesn’t especially after a while, but for the most part I have and can enjoy a lot of what Delirious sends out. If he gets stoned so do be it but I’m sure he generally gives a fuck.

Gregg has been a serial offender of being bad at what he does and seemingly it’s got worse. There isn’t any place for him in ROH and I hope we can the affect of change.

I really hope everyone in that locker room, working behind the scenes, get to together and present something United that will get change too. Koff needs to listen to those guys or should do if everyone is together.

What I will never accept is someone being
You can't keep some parts of the problems and expect the changes needed. Delirious can't be in creative. Just the fact he is still over such a position will stop some prospective fans from giving it a chance. Wholesale changes in management is necessary.

I have no problem with Delirious going, I’m just taking it one step at a time and just looking at the situation we have right now. Delirious wasn’t even mentioned and seemingly going by the tweets Koff is being lead down a garden path somehow. Gregg seems far more of problem overall is all I’m saying and maybe when change happens there more change can come.

Okay. I misunderstood the beginning of your post. I thought you were advocating for Delirious to stay.

ROH needs people who want to succeed and are willing to put the time in the long road they have ahead. I just hope this incident with Joey finally opens some eyes.

I’m only advocating for him in the Devil you know sense. He’s more than shown burn out and inability to really create for a while but I’ve seen the good he does do plus I can live with his bad, kind of. If there is better out there of course I want it, that’s all I ever want for the company. I tend to do just analyse from a positive most of time, that’s all it can annoy a lot of people.

I hope so, because this can’t just go on like it is and honestly ROH is too valuable to the market for it too go under.

Is it really? ROH mostly airs after midnight where you can easily put crappy infomercials or reruns of whatever. Yes, if ROH breaks even, it's basically free programming, but it's not seen as this great asset they have to showcase on primetime either. Basically, SBG is saying that ROH is shit and doesn't deserve better than that, which is also an issue if you're trying to shop it around because "why would I air your worthless junk at decent hours when you slot it between ads for viagra, knee braces and cyanide pills at 2am?".

If it weren't worth putting ROH in those timeslots, they wouldn't keep bothering to put the show on it when they buy a new network.

Basic reasoning.

Why wouldn’t they? They own the content and it’s at hours of the day that have hardly any bearing on the bottom line. When ROH was profitable or at least breaking even, it is an asset to Sinclair. When they start to become a money loser (and there’s no way that UK tour or the cancelled Texas shows were profitable) then having a product just to fill bad time slots isn’t as good of a deal

They can scale back. People forget just how much ROH grew from 2014-present. Next year they need to run fewer shows, and only in the stronger markets, there's no question about that.

But with how much talent salary jumped to AEW, I have a hard time believing ROH's books look all that horrible even with a soft second half and a cancelled Texas loop.

It's only going to get worse from here unless they change something, we all agree there, but I still feel like Sinclair's overall investment in ROH is relatively minor and things would have to get pretty horrible for ROH to present zero value to the company.

Also, they did put ROH on in a decent slot on their two national feeds, Stadium and Charge. They're small but it's something.
