Some smaller guys are fine.
I don't enjoy flippy shit wrestling though.
Kincaid I do pull for though cause I know him a little.

Wow, Elgin & Dijak in EVOLVE should be great (yeah, I'm an EVOLVE fan too)
So this year Corino, Kelly, Nigel, Really, Cole, Dijak and Lee have left the company.

Isn't Dijak set for his title shot at the Experience event if so I imagine that booking will go ahead considering when Dijak is booked for Evolve.JTCole wrote:So I take it Dijak isn't getting that TV title shot huh.

That show will be Dijak's final match in ROH. He'll put over Scurll and the TV Title, I hope.BurningHammer wrote:Isn't Dijak set for his title shot at the Experience event if so I imagine that booking will go ahead considering when Dijak is booked for Evolve.JTCole wrote:So I take it Dijak isn't getting that TV title shot huh.

I thought Scurll is facing Rush in Columbus?
Wouldn't that mean Dallas was it for Dijak?

Re: ALL PURPOSE CONTRACT STATUS/POTENTIAL DEPARTURES THREAD
They are doing this weekend a VOD show (The Experiencie) where Lio faces Marty. But there'll be a TV taping the next night too (Steel City) where Dijak challenge Marty.Brada wrote:I thought Scurll is facing Rush in Columbus?

Oh that's right Alex...my bad.....it's early for me...lol.
Dijak will definitely be doing the honors.

Re: ALL PURPOSE CONTRACT STATUS/POTENTIAL DEPARTURES THREAD
Hahaha. I think it will be a great match. It remembers me a lot to the time when Tommaso Ciampa was leaving. He had a killer match against Jay Lethal (I gave it ****) for the TV Title. It was a great way to end his time in ROH and a great way to make the champ look stronger.Brada wrote:Oh that's right Alex...my bad.....it's early for me...lol.

Great point. I personally think Dijak has quite a bit of upside. He definitely has the look for the big time, but I think his athleticism often gets overlooked. His charisma in ring seems natural. A great example of that was his exchanges with Castle this past Saturday in Dallas. It added an element to their match that made it entertaining for sure.
I wish him well in the next chapter of his career.

Nevermind, Dijak gets his title shot on Saturday.
Re: ALL PURPOSE CONTRACT STATUS/POTENTIAL DEPARTURES THREAD
Yeah it's Scurll/Dijak TV title match at Steel City Excellence...
Then it's Scurll/Rush 2/3 Falls Proving Ground at The Experience
As far as the talents go, I hope they start using some of the TPT guys more after the tournament. Guys like King, Stallion, Woods and Skyler I hope get used more. Especially Skyler with Corey Hollis.

I see roh in the same position as noah
with a chance to rebuild something that can be good.
departures, etc...time will tell.

Re: ALL PURPOSE CONTRACT STATUS/POTENTIAL DEPARTURES THREAD
2017 will be a transitional year. Lot of changes and departures. Hope they hire hire some people ir order to get a fresher product. This should be the year of Marty Scurll; not the year of old champs like Daniels, Fish or Briscoe.
Re: ALL PURPOSE CONTRACT STATUS/POTENTIAL DEPARTURES THREAD
They need to have some story line options ready for whatever talent they bring in so they aren't perceived as a flat arrival with no backstory..
Re: ALL PURPOSE CONTRACT STATUS/POTENTIAL DEPARTURES THREAD
they arent going to push all in on scurll with only a 6 month deal...
Re: ALL PURPOSE CONTRACT STATUS/POTENTIAL DEPARTURES THREAD
Oh. That’s not a positive thing to say at all. NOAH has been in disrepair for many years (and their recent coupling with TNA reveals the state of both companies).monster mafia wrote:I see roh in the same position as noah

I agree that this will be a transitional or otherwise disappointing year for the company, succeeding what was a bummer of a year in 2016. Of course for ROH to shore themselves back up they first need a different leadership.
As for Dijak—I was never one of his proponents (he has a generic look, works like an indie big man, and someone like Punishment is just better at the things Dijak does whenever not being pulled down by Sullivan pap). However, I have been impressed by the way he has gotten over in recent months. It’s the worst time for ROH to lose him and the best time for him to break out.

Kincaid looks fully grown, and being small is part of Rush's gimmick.SweetDaddy wrote:Who gives a crap about Lio Rush or Jason Kincaid?
Get us some wrestlers that actually look like men and not teenagers.

Re: ALL PURPOSE CONTRACT STATUS/POTENTIAL DEPARTURES THREAD
This is turning into a catastrophy.
You've got many of your top, new, younger talent leaving for your biggest independent rival, Evolve. It also seems like reDRagon will be there in the near future based on O'Reilly's comment that he would like to work Evolve, and that fans of ReDRagon will have something exciting coming up.
At this point, it's safe to assume that Cole, Fish, and Rush will also be out the door right around Supercard of Honor. NOt to mention that Ospreay and Scurtll are on six month deals and could both be gone by July.
Who are they going to build around? Daniels getting that elusive world title is a good storyline, but you can't keep it on him long term. If Castle does win it at Supercard, how great will his reign be if there are no credible contenders?
I realize ROH runs a tight financial ship, and the company is probably making money for SBG, which is a good thing. But any corporation worth its salt has to look at this many departures in a short time frame as a bad sign.
I fear the talent exodus continues, crowds will lessen, and they may have to run less shows.
I signed up for the yearly Ringside Membership in January, but right now 2017 is looking like the toughest year yet for this promotion.
They have to make some changes.

The ROH office will just simply bring in replacement talent . David Starr was just booked for Pittsburgh. I sure there will be more names announced in the near future.
