They probably just forgot...Montana wrote:Yeah, this a odd. Only thing i can think of is that i believe SHelly/Sabin were called the "murder city machine guns" back then. Either that, or the bookers just forgot.Burnside wrote: So you're saying the match that ROH is billing as a "huge, first-time ever tag team bout" has in fact happened twice already in ROH?

As a fan who goes to nearly every Chicago show I agree with you 100%. I have a friend who goes to all of the Detroit shows and he's always jealous that we get the better matches.Montana wrote:I don't want to hear this... Chicago almost ALWAYS has a better than Detroit. Plus Chicago has 3 titles matches and a PPV. The Detroit show is more of less Tag Wars, with really nothing at stake (although it is a pretty sweet show). Long story short, your spoiled. J/K and Detroit shows have been pretty solid the last few. There were some really bad one's years back. I've always been jealous of the Chicago shows, and made the trip a few times. I'm sure ROH will put on a good show in Chicago.Embracejg wrote:Any other Chicago fans pissed that the Dearborn card has more interesting matchups? Because I sure am.
And you guys don't have to deal with Colt Cabana headlining a major PPV.

Incredibly poor memories if Johnston forgot about the 2007 match. That's unacceptable continuity for someone who has actually on that show.

I'm sure Joeism will look at this fuck up with rose colored glasses and back Delirious.

You guys actually believe Delirious writes those write-ups?

Rest of the card for Dearborn has been announced. The Young Bucks & The Guerrillas of Destiny are listed as appearing, but have yet to be announced for any matches (Just noticed ROH screwed up the graphic a bit for Strong vs. Liger)...

so..ishii retains the us strap?
Re: Official Global Wars/War Of The Worlds 2016 Super Thread
I know it's non-title, but I knew they were going to push Moose in that spot. Ishii isn't going to lose the strap to some junior tag guy or a random midcard geek.

In my opinion...the AAW card on Friday May 6th blows the ROH ppv card Sunday May 8th away! Crazy since ROH has NJPW guys

Both cards suck. Total waste of resources in both cases, especially AAW.monster mafia wrote:naaaaaaaakconstangs wrote:In my opinion...the AAW card on Friday May 6th blows the ROH ppv card Sunday May 8th away! Crazy since ROH has NJPW guys

Ishii drops it to Fish at the PPV. Mark it down.

With the small crew they have, i bet he doesn't.Mr. Mojo Risin wrote:No, but I'm sure he sees them before they get put up.TYFDK wrote:You guys actually believe Delirious writes those write-ups?
Actually, if at least 2 people were reading what they post on the website (counting the guy who post them), i'm sure they wouldn't make so much typo.
4 sold out events in one week, probably their best selling PPV/VOD and most watched TV show compared to the non NJPW/ROH shows, yeah a total waste of money and that's why they do it even more each year.ninetwentyfour wrote:Both cards suck. Total waste of resources in both cases, especially AAW.
I agree that the cards aren't the most appealing but they are still great on paper imo.

Maybe I've just been into AAW so much more than ROH
Fenix/Pentagon Jr
Callihan/Ciampa
Young/Dijak
Elgin/Robinson
Those are fresh singles matches with a bunch of talented guys (i know Fenix/Pentagon isn't fresh but it is fresh to Chicago)

Elgin/Juice Robinson is nothing to be hype about really
AAW also has a good card but nothing on the level of ROH/NJPW, i think we are at the point where people are a little spoilled with that. I remember Rhino main eventing a big show not long ago.

You could be right just going by what I'm feeling when I see these
Elgin is always must see for me and Juice coming back from working NJPW could be pretty solid
