SPWYARE/POP-UP WARNING - https://www.pwinsider.com/article/11357 ... n.html?p=1

Johnson:
While the expectation in recent weeks has been that former WWE Cruiserweight champion Neville was on his way out of World Wrestling Entertainment, sources within the company have told PWInsider.com that there have been recent positive discussions between Neville and the company.

There is a belief among some in the company that talks have gone so well that Neville could actually be returning to action for WWE before the end of the month. One source even believed Neville could be back as soon as this week, but PWInsider.com has (as of this writing) not been able to confirm that. Obviously, we will see if that is soon the case.

Neville quietly disappeared from 205 Live storylines last month amongst stories that he had walked out of Raw after balking to losing a match to Enzo Amore. PWInsider.com quickly debunked the walkout story as Neville was never even on the road that week. We later reported in the Elite section that the idea that Neville had refused to put over Amore again was shot down, specifically because the two had become close friends and regularly socialized away from WWE events.

WWE sources immediately denied that Neville had been released from the company, he was later removed from the 205 Live opening. At that time, however, two different sources told PWInsider.com that Neville had pushed for a WWE release with the idea of leaving the company and building his name outside of it, similar to what Drew McIntyre did prior to his return to NXT.

As we reported at the time, until Neville was actually released, there was always a chance that the two sides could come to terms, paving the way for his return to the company. If what we are hearing is correct, that road has been paved.
Meltzer:
PWInsider has reported that WWE is talking with Neville about a return. We do know that he had plans outside that were being held up because WWE was not going to release him from his contract.

Just added to the alumni section of impactwrestling.com:
Mayweather (Crimson)
Wilcox (Jax Dane)
Alisha Edwards
Mahabali Shera
Hornswoggle
Karen Jarrett
Dutch Mantel

I haven't seen enough of Alisha Edwards to have much of an opinion but I don't think they should sign any of the rest of them. Just passing it along.

I could see Jax Dane back. Possibly even in a tag team with Taylor.

Dane is the f'n worst. He can't wrestle. The only time he didn't look that bad in ROH was this February in a trios match with War Machine. He is a bad powerhouse.

So is Simon Grimm staying with the company, or was this a two shot, more akin too when Sydal and David Starr showed up on ROH TV this summer?

I'd say this was more of a special attraction. They used a former WWE talent just bc they were in Florida. His booking, with a random Triple Threat and a tag match (getting pinned) with The Dawgs makes me think he won't come back, at least as a regular wrestler. Also, nobody said something about him, good or bad, on social media.

To be fair, David Starr has said in interviews ROH wanted him to sign a contract but he didn't want to so that's why he isn't used. It's akin to the Chris Hero issue. You don't want to sign when ROH wants you to, no point in doing business. And I agree personally.

Eric van wagenen said in an interview that LU is in conversations with companies such as ROH, Impact, NOAH or Stardom so they can exchange wrestlers. They want to end the tv exlusivity of their contracts. Imagine people like Fenix, Penta, Muertes or Cobb in ROH. Quotes via, http://www.thecubsfan.com/cmll/2017/11/ ... eled-riot/:
That leaves about ten months of the year with no Lucha Underground taping. They’ve not given up on touring, though he acknowledged that hasn’t worked out. They never wanted to have a one year hiatus and know “it hasn’t been fair to keep people on a shelf”, especially when their wrestling careers are not that long. So, LU’s decided to drop their TV exclusivity, and allow their wrestlers to appear on other wrestling groups TV. EVW mentions Ring of Honor, Impact, NOAH, and Stardom as promotions they’ve talked to open doors for their wrestlers. (This appears to already have been going on: Joey Ryan was announced as appearing in Ring of Honor this morning, and it would explain how Sami Callihan ended up in Impact.) EVW says these deals are under Dorian Roldan’s control, but they’re going to be negotiating with groups in hopes of getting their guys more TV exposure, hoping that helps LU as well. Van Wagenen presumes these opportunities will also be open to guys like Penta & Fenix who’ve left AAA, feeling time will probably fix those problems. (If you read Masked Republic’s tweets yesterday and today that does not appear to have happened.)

The hope is giving Lucha Underground wrestlers those outside opportunities will make them want to stay Lucha Underground wrestlers. That may not be the case for everyone, and Van Wagenen says they’re open to letting people out of their contracts as long as they come back to allow the writers to resolve their characters on the show and drop any titles. There may be more to it – “where it’s reasonable, we’ll negotiate him” – but they seem at least open to possibility of letting people move on if that’s what they want. The reality of the situation is there’s not going to have the same amount of TV time this season anyway, so they want to focus on the people who want to be there.

They still plan on adding people for Season 4. There’s a hope that allowing LU wrestlers to work other promotions will be a two way street. The Black Lotus Triad story is cited as something that they felt worked, and they’d be interested in bringing in outside people from other promotions as “guest stars” for a weekend’s worth of tapings that wouldn’t require a long term contract. Chris DeJoseph also has people he’s seen in AAA this year that he’s very excited to bring in.

Interesting that Lucha Underground would be interested in working with ROH considering the Roldans' feelings on CMLL. Not going to complain if it happens, obviously.

Better performer than about 90% of the current roster, but no shock you have no respect for the EXCELSIOR OF ELOCUTION.

Seriously, throw this guy as a manager for a goofball heel like Ferrara or whoever else who can't talk, that would work just fine.

Cobb would be awesome. Have wanted to see Penta & Fenix in ROH since there were rumblings of LU going out.
