Re: Observer notes on 3 non-regular talents
Still uncertain about Hero as he was just booked for an Evolve title match next month and Voices of Wrestling didn't respond when I asked about his future there.

Fucking ludicrous that NXT and ROH are pussyfooting around with La Sombra and Kamaitachi.

Re: Observer notes on 3 non-regular talents
Not to go too deep into Evolve (given this is the ROH section), but I think there's a strong possibility that Hero takes the title from Thatcher, so that might dash any hopes of Hero coming back to ROH in the immediate future.monster mafia wrote:yeah i just saw that..i think that he is gonna win the belt..i hope he comes back to roh in some point.supersonic wrote:Still uncertain about Hero as he was just booked for an Evolve title match next month and Voices of Wrestling didn't respond when I asked about his future there.

Re: Observer notes on 3 non-regular talents
Considering Kamaitachi's showing in Long Island it might take him time to get used to the style, audience, language even the ring as the match against ACH for me really didn't click and Kamaitachi especially was very underwhelming so they might just be building him up in a smaller role to allow him that adjustment time before they give him that better slot on the card.supersonic wrote:Can't deny his finger is on the pulse:

The same maybe can be said for La Sombra.
Sometimes like any sport it just takes time in a new environment.

Kamaitachi vs ACH started slow but it got good by the end, i think Kamaitachi looked good there. He will have to get used to the US style but he didn´t looked bad at all against ACH i think.
La Sombra i think/hope they are waiting for something big for him to debut instead of just being there but we will see.

With regards to La Sombra, I've always been under the impression that they're waiting until the Global Cruiserweight Series/Cruiserweight Classic to introduce him. He's been a favorite to win that tournament since it was announced.

Personally I felt the match just seemed too catered around the big spots, which even led to ACH really bagging up his knee it's flow just seemed off and overall a lot of it was awkward, especially when you see both guys other matches.187_Joeism wrote:Kamaitachi vs ACH started slow but it got good by the end, i think Kamaitachi looked good there. I think it was a good debut for him, if you don´t know him before the match you can get a clear idea of him as a wrestler in that match, I´m sure the more he get used to US styles the better his matches will be.BurningHammer wrote:Personally I felt the match just seemed too catered around the big spots, which even led to ACH really bagging up his knee it's flow just seemed off and overall a lot of it was awkward, especially when you see both guys other matches.187_Joeism wrote:Kamaitachi vs ACH started slow but it got good by the end, i think Kamaitachi looked good there. Yeah I see what your saying and i'm not saying he wont going grow or be a great addition to the roster as going by the standard Kamatchi has wrestled at especially in CMLL he will likely be excellent.187_Joeism wrote:I think it was a good debut for him, if you don´t know him before the match you can get a clear idea of him as a wrestler in that match, I´m sure the more he get used to US styles the better his matches will be.BurningHammer wrote:Personally I felt the match just seemed too catered around the big spots, which even led to ACH really bagging up his knee it's flow just seemed off and overall a lot of it was awkward, especially when you see both guys other matches.187_Joeism wrote:Kamaitachi vs ACH started slow but it got good by the end, i think Kamaitachi looked good there. Just thinking about how talent used to debut one of the things I do miss from the Gabe era ROH in general is how they generally were given matches against people they had wrestled before or had known them so they could have a match that they know works and can feel comfortable or they would be up in a 4 way where there high spots or signature spots could be hit and as audience our eyebrows could be raised without knowing any flaws yet.

rovert wrote:Some of the ROH wrestlers have referred to Kamaitachi as "the guy that ACH wrestled" the guy just isn't known the States and he has a hard-ish name to pronounce or commit to memory initially. One level it is that simple really. But more worryingly long term as people have already said Delirious doesn't seem to be embracing him.

Yeah this is what more than likely will happen.DXvsNWO1994 wrote:With regards to La Sombra, I've always been under the impression that they're waiting until the Global Cruiserweight Series/Cruiserweight Classic to introduce him. He's been a favorite to win that tournament since it was announced.

Re: ALL PURPOSE NEW TALENT/SPECIAL ATTRACTION THREAD
The idea of Castle vs Stardust has me intrigued just for it's peculiarity really but I can see them having a great match to mix in with it.
I would like to see him out of an WWE environment as I imagine he could have always been holding back to fit into the style they desire, he would bring more eyes to ROH and certainly add to the title picture without being a silly name that is just there for a quick draw.

I would take Cody Rhodes in a heartbeat.
I hope he ends up in ROH/NJPW or Lucha Underground. Those are the three promotions I follow closely.

Re: ALL PURPOSE NEW TALENT/SPECIAL ATTRACTION THREAD
NJPW should get Rhodes in the G1 and ROH should contact him for a subsequent debut at DBD. He's a guy that would certainly fit in with both companies in my opinion.

What about Ryan Reeves as well, assuming his WWE contract isn't renewed?

I wouldn't book Ryback for free. Hell, I wouldn't book him if he offered to pay me.
He's basically the modern Heidenreich.
