Sign him! The return of La Sombra. He's super close to Rush and that family so I figure ROH has a better than average chance of signing him if he does indeed get his WWE release.

I can't see him signing with Impact, MLW, or NJPW and the major Mexican promotions are still basically dark. So it's gotta be down to AEW or ROH.

So he can spend two years not winning any titles like the Lucha Brothers?

I dunno. I think ROH has treated luchadores better than any US promotion, especially the last couple years.

Andrade, along with Zelina are two musts for me, you put those two in LFI instead of Rose and King and you’ve got the best ‘foreign’ faction in wrestling maybe ever. The way King would be made into such a pariah if they turned on King especially after he turned on Shane would be such a nice story to tell and then trying to build King back up into some sort of babyface by Shane saving him in someone would be good shot.

Overall There is so much history to fall back on that would only help everyone involved. You would have to think that ROH’s relationship with RUSH etc must help, if ROH sleeps on him in anyway it’s the most ridiculous decision in quite sometime.

Go all in on LFI.

Get La Sombra, get La Mascara. And yeah, get Thea Trinidad too. And hell, get Mistico II as well, the third brother.

Winning titles is a reflection of how the people on top feel about a talent. They deserve to be in top programs and winning big matches. Instead every member of the Elite has held a belt while the Lucha Brothers have mostly just spun their tires since they arrived. The Lucha Brothers should've been tag champs over every team that has won it so far. Fenix would be a better TNT champion than Allin.

Hopefully Penta goes over Cody at least.

These guys are special talents and they're not being treated as such so far in AEW. Maybe because they only sign for one year at a time.

I am surprised Mistico was never brought in, he’s probably the most talented classical Luchador that is of a really high level CMLL has.

Titles are props outside of the World Title. During a pandemic putting the belts on Kenny & the Bucks will allow for great moments for when they lose them after crowds are back. Both positive reaction(Kenny) and the Bucks(negative). This is how you tell stories. Belts are story props. The talent more often than not don't want them because it's one extra thing to carry. I love Penta & Fenix but between being away for part of the pandemic, FTR(the best team going today) and launching the division with the established SCU, there's no point. Not everyone needs a belt to be validated. Darby doesn't need the belt and neither do the Lucha Bros to matter. The belt doesn't make the wrestler, the wrestler makes the belt.

I won't spoil TV, but a tag wrestler beating a top singles guy makes zero sense unless it's a fluke roll up.

Where do you get this one year at a time stuff? That's not only completely inaccurate it's also dumb to even offer that type of contract in current wrestling.

I meant the Lucha Brothers only sign for one year at a time, not that AEW only signs people for one year at a time.

The Lucha Brothers previous contracts expired last August and they signed one year deals right afterwards.

They signed short term nonexclusive deals with Impact, MLW, and AEW between 2018 and 2019 while still appearing freelance for AAA and CMLL as they were waiting to get out from under their terrible Lucha Underground deals.

They first signed actual contracts with AEW in early 2019. They timed those deals to end when their Lucha Underground deals expired in August 2019. They signed one year US-exclusive AEW contracts in August 2019, then again in August 2020. They will be free agents again on August 31, 2021.

They are worried about signing long term deals with anyone after those Lucha Underground contracts blew up in their faces.

A tag wrestler beating a top singles guy wouldn't make sense usually but there are guys like Jay Briscoe and Penta who are tag wrestlers but also are proven as top singles wrestlers as well.

Yeah that's not accurate as far as AEW goes.

Timeline was a bit off but it's pretty much what happened.

Here is the story about them signing one year deals in August 2020 because their previous deals expired that month:
https://wrestlingworld.co/news/lucha-br ... more-year/

Here is when they signed the US-exclusive AEW deal to begin with in the first half of 2019, which is when they stopped appearing for Impact and MLW:
https://www.thesportster.com/news/lucha ... usive-usa/

So their Lucha Underground deals expired in April 2019, which is six months after the last episode aired. That's about when the MLW and Impact appearances stopped and they became AEW exclusive. So either they signed for one year and four months in April 2019 or they signed a short term deal and then later a one year deal in August 2019, because that deal expired in August 2020 and then they signed for another year.

They will be free agents again in five months.

Yeah this is not accurate. Again, nobody in the top tier of regulars is on a one year deal.
