Gut Check review

Lacey is outside cuddling up to the pimp daddy himself, Colt Cabana. She wants him to bring the title to Lacey's Angel's but he checks her real quick saying he doesn't want anything to do with the Angel's. Jimmy Jacobs is set to face BJ Whitmer again tonight. Jimmy is gonna crack soon.

Irish Airborne & Delirious vs Nigel McGuiness, Jimmy Rave, & Sal Rinauro.......Jared David and Dave Prazak are once again calling the action. Not sure why Nigel is paired up with these goofs. Crowd is hot tonight. The Christ Brothers go after Rinauro and Rave. Nigel gets tagged in, locks up with Dave Christ and Jimmy jumps Dave from behind taking advantage of an opportunity. Superkick by Rinauro and a spear from Rave amost pin Delirious. The Christ Brothers deliver an awesome powerbomb/lungblower combo on Sal. Great teamwork by the faces. Brothers both fly outside on The Embassy members. Nigel just takes the head off Dave Christ with a lariat off the ropes. Pretty good opener.

Jimmy Jacobs vs BJ Whitmer.....Fight spills outside quickly. Jacobs is viciously going after his former teammate. A dropkick to BJ's head on the ringpost keeps him at bay. Missile dropkick for a 2 count. BJ powerbombs him in the corner. He tells the crowd to move. They fight on the top rope and a headscissor knocks Whitmer through a table. Whitmer gets helped to the back but runs back in refusing to quit. Back senton by Jacobs for 2. BJ attempts a comeback but a rollup pins him. After the match Jimmy takes a chair and attacks the ankle of Whitmer. A nasty senton on 3 chairs destroys his ankle and brings out the refs. Lacey is getting tons of heat for this. The match stunk but Jacobs is looking to get a push I think.

Samoa Joe is going to kill the traitor Claudio Castagnoli.

Jim Cornette comes down to explain some internet reports about himself and his role in ROH. (I don't remember reading anything back in 06 about this) Basically it's a 10 minute tirade rehashing his beef with Homicide.

Briscoe Brothers vs Davey Richards & Homicide.......Fights starts outside the ring. Mark is on Homicide with a chairshot to the back. Over the head belly to belly suplex by Homicide on Jay. Davey tags in and immediately hits a snap suplex for 2. Homicide is being attacked at every chance. Running bulldog powerslam on Mark Briscoe for 2. Homicide tags in and delivers a knee to mark's face. Davey gets caught in a leg lariat allowing him to be cut off from his partner. Once Homicide does get tagged in he hits a big piledriver on Jay. Superplex, T-bone suplex on Mark gets a two count. Richards tags in and gets that kick combo with a german suplex on Mark. Horse collar applied but Mark gets to the ropes. Reverse 3-D by the Briscoes. Homicide leaps off with a splash onto Mark. Saito suplex by Richards. jay breaks the pin attempt up. Ace crusher on Jay, and a big boot on Homicide, followed by a double clothesline take all 4 guys to the mat. Springboard Doomsday Device pins Davey as it should. That was pretty bad ass actually.

Dave Prazak is backstage giving a report on Whitmer before Jimmy Jacobs sings his way outside to find the love of his life Lacey.

Samoa Joe vs Claudio Castagnoli....Joe kicks ass for the first 8 minutes. Claudio rakes the eyes and kicks at the belly . Joe regains control and drops his body on Caludion with a senton. Big flying forearm and some Ole kicks on the floor to get the fans hyped. Ref counts 2. Claudio shows his strength by dropping the Samoan with a death velley driver for 2. STJoe applied into a crossface. Joe winds up winning after the muscle buster. Average match.

Matt Sydal & Christopher Daniels vs Austin Aries & Roderick Strong.......All 4 guys take turns hearing the cheers. Great teamwork by the tag champs. Aries with a slingshot senton on Daniels. Doube team suplex for 2 . Roderick gets a 2 count after a butterfly suplex. Daniels is quarantined from his corner. Austin hits the spinning power elbow. Aries gets caught trying a frogsplash. Knees to his ribs allow for Sydal to get the tag. They isolate Aries for some time with plenty of 2 counts. Strong gets a tag and starts dropkicking and suplexing both his opponents. Matt hits a pumphandle driver of sorts for 2. Aries flies throuhg the ropes with a heat seeking missile. Arabian press by Daniels. Sydal with his own flying move too. Roderick counters a top rope headscissors into a powerbomb backbreaker. SICK. Frogsplash by Aries gets 2. Chop/brainbuster combo for yet another nearfall. Standing moonsault followed by the BME almost pins Austin but Strong breaks the pin attempt up. Koji clutch applied but Aries gets to the ropes. Backbreaker and a 450 splash pin Christopher Daniels. This was good, but I sense it will get better the next time these guys meet.

Bryan Danielson vs Colt Cabana.......This main event is a Best of Three Falls match. Dragon tries to be slick and kill some time with a headlock but the challenger is up for this challenge and he gets the first pinfall within 5 minutes after a Colt .45. The challenger continues to have an answer for all of the champs signature moves and the match slows down awhile. Colt with a body lock with the legs. Not sure what his gameplan is because he attacks shoulders, legs, arms. No real plan of attack. Danielson does get control after some time, targeting the legs and knees of Cabana. Big crossbody off the top from Colt. Danielson leaps off the turnbuckle and drives a knee into his opponent. They lock up mid ring and both go for a suplex. Cabana wins the small battle but the champ answers with a figure four. Leg gets caught in a half crab and after fighting it for a minute Cabana finally makes the ropes. They fight on the outside through the crowd Colt leaps off the turnbuckle into the crowd then follows up with chair shots. Colt gets laid on a table ringside, but nothing comes of it. Belly to back suplex for 2 by the champ. Crossface chicken wing applied .Cattle mutilation also gets cinches in but the challenger escapes both. Moonsault connects for cabana but he only gets a 2 count. With just minutes left, Colt gets crushed by elbows. With less than 1 minute to go Bryan gets a low blow in as time expires. The ref counts three and this this contest is delared a draw.

Anoth so-so show for me. Nothing special. Thanks for reading. Gonna go 5.5/10
