The video tells nearly the whole story, but it helps to know that Jeff Hardy was released from the WWE due to irresponsible behavior and drug abuse only a few months before this show. This performance as well as the Victory Road controversy have really diminished Jeff's importance to the eyes of many, which is probably a shame when one considers the majority of good performances he's had in the past twenty years.

A case of the crowd not grasping the proper dynamics of booing a wrestler. They gave it their all at the start, so they couldn't up the shitting on him when he got progressively worse as the night wore on. They forgot to pace themselves so it became flat and semi-uniform rather than being memorably " Yeah, whatever. Let's see how this goes. Oh for chrissakes. Did he really just...'What the fuck are you doing to us you piece of shit!"

Now, the crowd that was forced to endure 'The Night of Dragon Soldier B' they got it right.
