Okay... so who are you going to beat in this match? The guy going or the world title, the guy going for the TV Title, or the team going for the tag titles?

As opposed to a match where you know who's going to win based on them being the number one contender for the belt and the other guy/s not being contenders? Most people tend to like some unpredictibility. Besides, by the logic you're using, a #1 contender gains nothing by beating a #1 contender, a #1 contender only loses by losing to a #1 contender. Seems like one side would gain momentum while the other one loses, which is fine with me. Especially if ANX are the losers, since they really shouldn't be winning the titles.

There is no reason to have someone lose on the way to a title shot. It just makes said challenger look bad. So either we're going to have that, or we're going to have a f*ck finish, which I think most fans are sick and tired off, and which is something that ROH in particular tends to boast that they don't do. A draw is theoretically possible, but Delirious has shown a strong tendency towards doing f*ck finishes instead of draws, even where a draw would make MUCH more sense.

If you are worried about unpredictability, book the #1 contenders in a multi-man match or something where they can lose the match without taking a pin.
The problem really stems from crap like how they just randomly announced that Cole and O'Reilly are getting a title shot. If you had more stories where someone earned a #1 contendership by picking up a couple of wins, you'd still have that same unpredictability in most of the matches.

In a FIRST-TIME MATCH-UP, MOOSE will meet “THE LAST REAL MAN” SILAS YOUNG in one-on-one competition in Indy!

For Moose, 2015 was a career year! With wins over ACH, MARK BRISCOE, CEDERIC ALEXANDER, and DONOVAN DIJAK, Moose, under the tutelage of STOKELY HATHAWAY, asserted himself as a championship contender. The same could be said for “The Last Real Man”! After returning from major injury, Young started his winning ways with a victory in a Four Corners Survival match in Chicago Ridge and never looked back!

Both competitors are looking to keep the momentum going through 2016 but may have other things on their minds! For Moose, his quest of ROH World Championship and his mutual respect and unspoken game of one-upsmanship with #BIGMIKE weighs heavily on his mind! For Young, it’s been just under a month since he lost THE BOYS back to the orbit of DALTON CASTLE following a huge victory at FINAL BATTLE! With both men now in the title picture fighting at their best, the mental game may be the key in determining a winner in Indy!

KAZARIAN & SABIN versus reDRagon

In another GIGANTIC FIRST-TIME ENCOUNTER, KAZARIAN and SABIN team up to challenge the former ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS reDRagon!

Kaz and Sabin have been on a mission to prove an elaborate conspiracy cost the ADDICTION the ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS at ALL STAR EXTRAVAGANZA VII and have begun to team up in the absence of CHRISTOPHER DANIELS!

BOBBY FISH and KYLE O’REILLY have recently set their sights on singles gold but are looking to maintain their status among the top contenders for WAR MACHINE’s championships! There will be no love lost between these teams in this BATTLE in Indianapolis! Sabin was the difference and cost reDRagon the titles in San Antonio in April 2015 and The Two Man Smash Machine certainly haven’t forgotten!

After a very impressive showing at New Japan’s seminal event WRESTLE KINGDOM 10, MICHAEL ELGIN looks to regroup and reassert himself as the ROH World Championship’s number one contender! Elgin has issued an open challenge to anyone who has the guts to stand across the ring from a man hell bent on redemption in Indianapolis!

Page, who had a huge win against ACH at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR in Baltimore one night prior to getting one of the fastest wins in ROH history over Tim Huges, has seen his momentum stall as Whitmer’s focus spreads thinner after coming within milliseconds of a career-defining victory of two-time ROH World Champion JAY BRISCOE. Page will look to right the course in Indianapolis but one has to wonder if any tension is beginning to build between Page and his mentor Whitmer!

Ring of Honor's first Midwest events in 2016 are part of the ROH WINTER WARRIORS TOUR! On Friday, January 15th, we hit Indianapolis at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. And the very next night, ROH returns to Illinois for Saturday, January 16th in Collinsville! We can now confirm the ROH World Television Champion, Roderick Strong, will be there BOTH nights and he intends to take on brand new challengers.

This has presented a completely unpredictable ROH World Television Championship picture. While no doubt challengers will continue to earn opportunities within ROH, the fact that Strong wants to take on THE WORLD has opened the door for just about anything. There's no telling who will step up and face Strong in the Midwest. So far, we've seen entirely unexpected challengers like the legendary Stevie Richards and ultraviolent Masada! Will it be a face from the current ROH roster? Or a brand new star in the making? The only way to find out first is to be there LIVE in Indianapolis and Collinsville!

WAR MACHINE VS. FRANKIE KAZARIAN & CHRIS SABIN

The new ROH World Tag Team Champions will be in action in Collinsville! At FINAL BATTLE, Hanson and Ray Rowe finally achieved their goal of winning tag team gold in Ring of Honor. Quite possibly the most physically dominant duo in all of professional wrestling, War Machine have never backed down from anyone. On January 16th, they'll take on Frankie Kazarian and Chris Sabin! Sabin is newly returned to in-ring action and, apparently, will pair up with Kazarian while Christopher Daniels is suspended. There's no "conspiracy" afoot in Collinsville, just a good, old fashioned fight!

MICHAEL ELGIN VS. ADAM PAGE

#BIGMIKE started off the New Year with an ROH Championship opportunity in front of over ten thousand fans in the Tokyo Dome! While unsuccessful at regaining the title that particular night, Michael Elgin has been living out his dream of competing in Japan in the most impactful way possible, expanding his global profile and reinvigorating his entire style. In Collinsville, he faces a man who needs a big win in The Decade's Adam Page! Recently, there's been speculation about Page's goals and mindset as it seems BJ Whitmer has been focused on his own animosity with Steve Corino. Adam Page needs to focus on his own priorities if hopes to knock down #BigMike on January 16th!
