Ring of Honor and New Japan To Make Dual Announcement
Special announcement to be broadcast live 8/21 at 7:10 p.m. ET

(BALTIMORE, MD) – At the Ring of Honor television taping in Philadelphia on Friday, September 21st , Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling management will be making a special announcement impacting their working relationship at 7:10 p.m. ET on http://www.rohwrestling.com/ROHUSTREAM

Ring of Honor is hosting New Japan wrestlers at two monumental events this weekend, beginning on August 21st in Philadelphia’s famed 2300 Arena for a spectacular television taping. One night later on August 22nd, ROH and NJPW will compete at Brooklyn’s own MCU Park, which will be available as a DVD and on VOD. Ring of Honor is incredibly honored to continue to host such fantastic matches with the stars of New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Maybe something for Final Battle, since it's in Philly this year?

I´d say a date for the next supershows, or just the return of a few of the NJPW top stars is the most likely. If it's the last one, I guess Final Battle is very likely indeed, last year the two final dates NJPW ran were the 19th and 20th of December, if they were to stop touring a little earlier this year, they could definitely make it to Final Battle.
But yeah, it could also just be their own tour in Japan.

At first I thought it'd be about the Japan tour in 2016 but why announce that in Philly? It'd seem odd. It's obviously going to have something to do with a continued working relationship - we'll just have to see how deep

They haven´t officially announced the Japan tour just showed some pics of Delirious from the G1 so one of the announcements will be that, then maybe some NJPW talent working final battle with the announcement in Philly and the ROH World Heavyweight Title being defended at the Tokio Dome show is also a posibility.

ROH will have two shows in Japan in February 2016, and there'll be increased NJPW presence in ROH next year.

My feed was choppy so I missed basically everything.

Very happy to hear the news about the New Japan talent being spread to more cities next year. Unless I'm willing to pay the money to fly/hotel the only shows I can really make are the Nashville and Atlanta shows. Atlanta is a big market so I wouldn't be surprised if they get one of these special shows next year. If so I'm there for sure.

So ROH is going to be having a big February. Exciting news there!

Also very intrigued to see what new locations they go to with the New Japans guys next year. Obviously I think the big one is Chicago Ridge, and I'm sure their are a few more cities that are deserving as well. I also hope we get guys like Ishii & Shibata coming over next year, because that would be awesome!

I think he said "never been in ROH" so they could just wrestle during the japanese joint shows.

The booker of ROH Delirious came out at Ryogoku Sumo hall on August 16th and announced that ROH will hold Japan show in 2016.
And ROH executives, the chairman of NJPW Sugabayashi and Tiger Hattori hold public conference.

They announced that ROH will hold Japan tour on next February which is two days show in Japan. and NJPW will send their super stars in ROH 14th anniversary show and ROH/NJPW joint show on next April.

The alliance between ROH and NJPW became stronger.

But nobody knows when and how it started.

The referee and public relations man of NJPW Tiger Hattori revealed it on Weekly Prowrestling Magazine.

He said all started by Rocky Romero. Romero is the key person.

Hattori said “Romero arranged this alliance. NJPW were thinking that they wanted to hold US show once a year. Then Rocky brought the executives of ROH to New York where I live. This is the start.”
