It quickly sold out because people weren't expecting the NXT show. This year they will be. Moving forward, people will wait and not buy their ROH tickets until they see when the NXT show will be. NXT will run bigger venues than ROH in order to suck as many fans away from ROH as possible. They won't go somewhere too big and i don't think NXT would be a problem, like this year where the show was sold out way before the NXT Live Event was announced. IMO they can stay on Friday evening.
That's actually an argument to put the show opposite the HOF. That's a lot of production time and resources to spend hyping a house show that was not available on iPPV and that completely sold out live without any of that. Have Jacobs cut a promo clearly stating this is it and he wants to go out with the victory over his greatest partner and foe. Toss up their Dragon Gate Challenge or Supercard of Honor II classic on YouTube since both matches were referenced.
Lethal vs. Liger
Show promo videos of the who's who that Lethal had gone over for a year. Air a video package with Liger hightlights of his previous 5 matches in ROH. Toss another Liger match on YouTube.
Briscoe vs. Joe
Like Lethal, show promo videos of BOTH men's destruction during their peaks in the company. Hammer it home that Joe came back to the company for one reason, to be the champion and win the belt that he made matter. Hammer it home that Briscoe NEEDS this win because it'll solidify his reign to go over the man he made the belt so important a decade earlier, and also because Briscoe had never beaten him. Throw one of their two classic singles matches on YouTube, either one would work although the cage would be better.
I stayed there about 10 years ago my first time in Dallas and wasn't aware of that and still remember walking into my room, randomly looking out my window and...holy shit...there's a birds-eye view of the Kennedy Assassination site.
