ROH NOTES FROM MANIA WEEKEND

Ring of Honor drew a little over 1,400 per show over the weekend in Dallas, Texas. The big news is the return of Colt Cabana, who challenged ROH champion Jay Lethal and obviously that will be a match that takes place later this year. We are hearing Cabana will be in regularly.

ROH will begin announcing names for the May New Japan events soon. For those who asked about these specific names I am told that Kenny Omega and Katsuyori Shibata coming in will depend on their work visa situations. The feeling is that especially after the Mike Bailey situation, it's not worth taking a chance to talent in for one or two shows at the expense of losing them long-term.

Former WWE NXT star Bull "Dempsey" James was at the Saturday afternoon ROH event speaking with ROH officials.

Tommy Dreamer, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman and Kevin Sullivan also visited.

Will Ferrara got banged up on a chokeslam over the weekend but will be OK.

Kyle O'Reilly suffered an injury to his right eye - perhaps a scratched cornea - during his bout against Adam Cole.

The Dallas events were filmed for VOD and will be up later this week on www.ROHWrestling.com.

ROH will return to Texas on 4/23 in San Antonio, Texas. They will begin to announce matches this week.

I loved that match.

Mike Mondo was so good in that undercard heel role. Then he became one of the worst babyfaces in the history of our great sport. He had shoulders like boulders and legs like kegs. He called these his bitch sticks. He was given a world title shot for punching a locker.

I think that even if it´s not an exclusive contract, ROH can ask the talent to not work certain promotion, working without any type of contract like Strong was during a time its when you can do whatever you want.

It's strange cause is still putting out all of his bookings through the rest of the month, including on the 23rd, where he's booked in Maryland...

Now both tweets about Rush have been deleted...

Wonder if he'll be at the Rhode Island Conquest Tour show on 4/30.

I guess Lio Rush, Cabana & Dijak will be regulars going foward on most shows.
