A few ROH notes from the upcoming New Japan Destruction shows:

- Bobby Fish will be challenging Katsuyori Shibata for the NEVER Openweight Title at Destruction in Tokyo on 9/17.

- Adam Cole will be coming to New Japan. He'll be wrestling Will Ospreay in a non-title match at Destruction in Hiroshima on 9/22, and then he'll team with The Young Bucks to challenge Satoshi Kojima, Matt Sydal & Ricochet for the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Titles at Destruction in Kobe on 9/25.

- The Briscoes will be defending the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles against current IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks on 9/22 at Destruction in Hiroshima.

Based on the cards for some of these shows, it definitely seems like they're starting to break down to the heavyweight/junior heavyweight barrier a bit.

The fact that the Jr tag champs are facing the heavyweight tag champs, or the fact that somebody actually named a show "Destruction in Hiroshima"?

At least they didn't book Bryan Clarke... yet. Just imagine the nuclear heat he would get if he appeared.

Does anybody knows the e-mail for some ROH agent? I work for a spanish wrestling website and we would like to talk with ROH for a little thing in the upcoming UK tour. We e-mailed them at the contact e-mail that they have in their website but they didn't answer. If anyone can help me (here in the thread or via private message) it would be awesome.

It's probably safe to assume that Kevin Kelly has been responsible for all the video updates we've been receiving. They make a difference and they're definitely a step in the right direction. I don't mind Kevin being the predominant host, but shooting in that drab office makes the product seem so anemic.

And, surprise, Cole does a great promo.

When Adam Cole shocked the wrestling world by joining Bullet Club three months ago, the faction made it clear that it was on a mission to take over the entire industry.

It was an unparalleled display of hubris, but the black-and-white clad band of athletes took a giant step toward that audacious goal during a recent five-day span.

Cole ended Jay Lethal’s 427-day reign as ROH World Champion this past Friday at the Death Before Dishonor Pay Per View in Las Vegas to become just the third man in ROH history to regain the title.

Five days prior, Kenny Omega, the leader of the Japanese-based branch of Bullet Club, won the G1 Climax tournament in Tokyo. The native of Winnipeg, Manitoba is the first non-Japanese competitor to win the prestigious annual tournament in its 26-year history.

In addition to Cole’s title win at Death Before Dishonor, Bullet Club member Hangman Adam Page scored the biggest victory of his career when he defeated two-time former ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe in a brutal grudge match.

Meanwhile, The Young Bucks -- who, along with Omega, compose the subgroup of Bullet Club known as The Elite -- continue to reign as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and are one of the best tag teams in the world.

For Cole, defeating Lethal ended his two-year obsession with becoming ROH World Champion for the second time.

After joining Bullet Club, Cole showed that he was willing to go to any lengths to get the championship belt back around his waist.

In response to Cole and Bullet Club’s vicious attacks on some of ROH’s top competitors, ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness declared a number of weeks ago that Cole would never receive another world title shot as long as he’s in charge.

Cole responded by orchestrating a three-on-one attack on Lethal with The Young Bucks. The Bullet Club members proceeded to humiliate Lethal by cutting off his signature braids and shaving his head.

Lethal implored McGuinness to reverse his decision so that he could get his hands on Cole, and McGuinness obliged by booking Lethal vs. Cole for the title at Death Before Dishonor.

It was obvious from watching the match that Cole had successfully gotten in Lethal’s head, as the usually cerebral Lethal took unnecessary risks in his thirst for revenge, and Cole took advantage of it.

“I’m in the driver’s seat now,” Cole said in a recent interview with ROH’s Kevin Kelly. “I’m the franchise of this company and I run this place.”

Omega is making a strong case that he now holds a similar position in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

By winning the G1 Climax tournament, Omega has an opportunity to wrestle in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom, NJPW’s huge annual show in January.

Omega, competing in his first G1 Climax event, defeated 2008 winner Hirooki Goto in the finals of a grueling round-robin tournament that also included the likes of IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, IWGP Intercontinental and former ROH World Champion Michael Elgin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tetsuya Naito, Katsuyori Shibata and former ROH World Television Champion Tomohiro Ishii.

Omega boasted afterward that no competitor in any other wrestling promotion in the world could’ve accomplished what he did.

“Absolutely not,” Omega told SI.com. “[They’re just not] on my level at all, physically or mentally.”

How long Bullet Club will be able to ride this wave of momentum remains to be seen, but with each title the faction wins and each ticket and piece of merchandise it sells, Bullet Club’s stranglehold on the sports tightens.

At least that column was not diegetically written by Kelly this time. Even though they are still baybayfacing the Bullet Club, most of those points are worth the mention; it helps people forget that this angle is altogether pretty slapdash.

Well, some people think Tommy Wiseau is a sublime director, so any opinion is possible.
