Lucha World Cup's Ticketmaster information includes Dr. Wagner, Matt Hardy, Johnny Mundo, Blue Demon Jr. and Taiji Ishimori as appearing, along with the previously announced teams of Parka/Texano/Cibernetico & Electroshock/Fantasma/Fenix.

I think you misunderstood. Those aren't teams. The winners of those two three-way matches, plus the winner of another three-way match, will make up one team.

Lucha Blog posted about it yesterday.

That is correct, and somehow I knew that because I read it on AAA's Twitter, thanks for pointing that out.

That AJPW team is so bad for a variety of reasons.

I take it Kanemoto has not aged as well as Liger? Pity, as back in the 90's he was part of the outstanding Jrs division they had. Kenzo I was never wild about, but didn't think he stunk and I have no idea who Masemune is.

Kanemoto is still good. It's Kenzo and Masamune I am worried about

Kanemoto is still pretty good, although he's obviously declined. I'd put him ahead of Tiger Mask IV but behind Liger atm. The problem with him being on team AJPW is that he doesn't wrestle for AJPW at the moment. Neither does Masamune. Haven't seen enough of him in the ring to comment.

Kenso is the only team member who actually appears for the promotion they're representing, and Kenso is god damn awful these days. Was never great, but holy shit he's terrible now.

They have guys like Kotaro and Aoki in their junior division, as well as the freelance guys like Ishii, Soma and any of the other guys out of DDt. Hell, they have Ultimo Dragon on their roster. Why not use any of them?

Sounds fun. I wonder who ROH is sending, they could put some very good trios together.

Maybe they don't care about this thing and just sent a few guys they didn't really need on their own shows anyway?
I was in the front line when we battled page 15

I would have marked if All Japan sent Akiyama, just to see the greatest grumpiest baby kick people in the face.
