2015 Live Attendance
2015 Live Attendance
I thought it could be interesting to track attendance figures as the year moves along...and if I can compare it to previous couple years as well. I'll commit to updating this once a month, using the Observer as the primary source, although I may use others, which I'll note if I do. If no figure is available anywhere I'll note it with a question mark.

Re: 2015 Live Attendance
Great numbers that will hopefully result in SBG being more inclined to help make this company grow

I see some sources citing Alberto El Patron is a reason for the good numbers but I just can't see him being that big of a difference maker.

I don't know. He is coming off of a WWE run, which gave him expose on National Television for almost 4 years. I think his presence was at least a contributing factor.lariat_tubman wrote:I see some sources citing Alberto El Patron is a reason for the good numbers but I just can't see him being that big of a difference maker.
Re: 2015 Live Attendance
I won't lie. I love the product, but he was the deciding factor in me making the drive to Dayton. To more casual fans I suspect it's a bigger impact due to his favorable recognition. He's more up there than say, Brian Myers or Galloway in drawing power, as evidenced by how many people want him.DXvsNWO1994 wrote:I don't know. Re: 2015 Live Attendance
It's all looking good so far.
Hopefully with AJ Styles on the card the Atlanta show can get a good number in. ROH apparently gets good viewership in Atlanta which is why they've had their timeslot moved forward twice since debuting on WATL.
13th Anniversary will probably sell out. Just under 200 GA tickets left according to the website.
With Styles and The Bucks on for Baltimore that show will probably sell out. Milwaukee is always a good crowd but it's a small venue, Chicago Ridge is always sketchy because its a suburban area. And SCOH is already sold-out.

Re: 2015 Live Attendance
I know it's better than they've done in recent years. They drew 750 last year for Styles vs. Hero, which was reportedly well up from the prior several shows. That said they've been going to Dayton since the beginning, so I'd imagine they've had at least one sellout before.Mike0284 wrote:Was this the first time they've had a sellout in Dayton?WHG wrote:1/31 Dayton - 800 (sellout)

Re: 2015 Live Attendance
Great idea for a thread! I love it!
Re: 2015 Live Attendance
It's hard to get an exact comparison because up until Styles vs. Hero they used bleachers for general admission instead of chairs, but this show and Styles/Hero definitely felt like the best-attended shows since I've been going to Dayton (every show since Final Countdown in 2009) by a wide margin.. they actually hit a low point for awhile in 2011-12 that culimated in about 250 fans coming to the 5,000 seat Hara Arena for a pretty stacked card, and stopped running shows there for almost 2 years after that.WHG wrote:I know it's better than they've done in recent years. It's also worth noting that while the seats that were set out were full, there's plenty of room in the building for a couple more rows of chairs and/or a set of bleachers, should they decide to set them out.
Re: 2015 Live Attendance
Only 5th row and general admission available for Atlanta. That's really good.

Re: 2015 Live Attendance
Are you sure Dayton was sold out at 800 tickets? Cause IIRC, they had the usual 5 X 80 reserved row seatings, plus 500 GA tickets available, so unless they made more tickets available than they would be able to fit into the building, which would be pretty stupid IMO, there were either more people there, or it wasn't sold out.
Also, wasn't Nashville last year a sellout? I remember reading somewhere that they were turning people away at the doors.
And last, completely off topic, did anyone know Trevor Lee wrestled a dark match at the Nashville taping? Just found that out, thought it would be interesting to point out.

Re: 2015 Live Attendance
I should note that I'm simply repeating figures from the Observer. He listed the Dayton show as 800 (sellout) in the results for the show. It's really subjective in buildings with no fixed seating.
Realistically, we're dealing with rounded numbers/estimates so take everything I put in the thread for what it is.
He didn't list the Nashville taping last year as a sellout and in fact had a slightly higher number this year. My recollection from last year's Nashville taping is that it wasn't sold out but they got a great walk up that night based on AJ being there.

Re: 2015 Live Attendance
All the seats appeared filled and there were a lot of people standing so it should have been a sell out. Had I gotten there earlier I would have counted the rows and seats to kill time and gotten a more accurate read on how many were therejordidebaas wrote:Are you sure Dayton was sold out at 800 tickets? PWInsider reporting over 1,000 people in attendance at last nights show in Atlanta. Crazy good for their first time there in like four years.
