I'm glad that the thread is being updated.

Does anyone have the December numbers for 2013 and 2014?

I want to see the most complete picture I can from 2013-present, so I'd love to see the averages and totals for each year.

Only show during December in both 2013 & 2014 was Final Battle. Final Battle 2013 was said to be have more people in attendance than Manhattan Mayhem V (per the show recap from PWP), and this thread's original post has Manhattan Mayhem V's attendance at 1,000. Final Battle 2014, the first show at Terminal 5, drew a sellout of 1,000 fans, according to cagematch.net.

So based on the updated numbers, this is what I have

2013: 19,546 fans over 32 events for an average of 566*
2014: 24,400 fans over 30 events for an average of 813
2015: 39,625 fans over 42 events for an average of 944**
2016: 15,760 fans over 14 events for an average of 1,126*** (so far)

*2 shows had unreported attendance, actually 34 shows run. Final Battle had "over 1,000" but 1,000 was used for the average
**Final Battle 2015 attendance unknown, actually 43 shows run
***3 shows have unknown attendance, actually 17 shows run (so far)

2013 average through May: 768
2014 average through May: 958
2015 average though May: 1,044

Meltzer had attendance numbers for this past weekend's shows in this week's Observer:

- 500 for Collinsville, IL on 6/3
- 500 for Indianapolis, IN on 6/4
- 750 for Columbus, OH on 6/5

750 sounds good for Columbus. 500 is a little low for ROH in any town. Maybe they should just drop Indy and try running St. Louis itself to replace Collinsville?

Collinsville is not far from downtown St.Louis. It is just right across the river. The state of Missouri has a lot of regulations that prevents promotions from running St . Louis . So , it is easier to run in the Metro East suburbs. Same deal as Kentucky , most wrestling is run on the Indiana side of the Ohio river.

Hm. Then maybe it's time to pull out of the market. I'd rather they ran places like Dayton (where they know they'll always do at least 700 or so) more often, or try returning to a WrestleMania weekend market like New Orleans or Dallas to see how they do. 500 really doesn't feel like enough for a market ROH has been running for several years now.
They should be going to Toronto more often as is, so why not turn the next St. Louis/Indy double-shot into Toronto and some other city in the general vicinity like Windsor (it'll be just like running Detroit except you can use Omega)?

It's not a problem with the markets. It's cold product.

I don't remember Indy running well when things were hot, either.

I wonder if the lack of having anything even resembling a card announced in advance hurt the attendance for last weekend's shows.

Have you seen the Milwaukee card?... three matches.

That being said, I think a sellout in Indy is only 800, no? It should also be noted that ROH doesn't run TV in Indy so it is interesting that they run there.

I'm not saying it's good that they only have three matches announced for Milwaukee. In fact, I'm saying the opposite. That being said, I have less of a problem with what they have for this weekend in Milwaukee because the reason they don't have a full card out is because it is night two of a two-night tournament.

Nap has never had ROH during a hot period, just 2009 and 2016.

Yeah, bit neither has, for example, Hopkins, and they have drawn pretty well there. Same with San Antonio or Milwaukee.

I don't have a number, but it seemed like Turner Hall was a less full than normal. It probably had to do with the show being on a Sunday instead of Friday.

Friend of mine at the Hopkins show estimated 600-700, said crowd was smaller than last time.

I think considering the current roster that has been available as well the late card announcements ROH is doing fine with regards to crowds from my opinion anyway. I think they could do a lot better generally, but I think that will only happen if they drop the price of tickets and/or have an overall better roster.

pwi:

Last week during a Q&A response, I responded to a question about Ring of Honor running Terminal 5. At the time I noted that the company had been hard at work looking for a new home in New York City, realizing the issues with sight lines and overall unhappiness fans had with attending shows at the venue. ROH had meetings back in May with a number of potential venues.

PWInsider has confirmed that Ring of Honor has worked out details for their return to Manhattan and will be making that announcement official tomorrow.

We can confirm that it will make New York City fans who have been disenfranchised with Terminal 5 very, very happy.

Meltzer had 600 for 6/11 in Hopkins and 650 for 6/12 in Milwaukee.
