ROH Top Prospect Tournament 2015
Re: ROH Top Prospect Tournament 2015
He and J. Diesel were in the dark match at the last Columbus show. Didn't really impress me much, but then again it was a tag match.

I believe Jake Dirden was on the Glory By Honor XII Pre-Show. He did do a tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH last year and trained in their Dojo (as his announcement article said), so he can't be that bad.

Does anyone know who in ROH is in charge of bringing people in? For this tournament and in general?

I'd guess it's Delirious
I was in the front line when we battled page 15

Hmm that is what I was thinking, just wanted to know if anyone knew more about it. It seems like ROH is entereting a little bit of a 'big guy' phase with who they bring in.
Not that that is a bad thing, we got War Machine and a little Monster Mafia who are all larger guys and also great wrestlers.

Kevin Kelly has a lot of pull in that apartment apparently.lariat_tubman wrote:Does anyone know who in ROH is in charge of bringing people in? For this tournament and in general?
That being said if the big guys can work and are charismatic give em a shot. If they are wastes of space drop them to the curb.

Dirden did a dark match at Raising the Bar Night 2 as well. I wasn't a fan, but then again it was just a pre-show match.

This year's TPT is like an OVW show from 2006!

Donovan Dijak is from Beyond & NEW, he is a fine monster and can cut a promo
Re: ROH Top Prospect Tournament 2015
Dijak had a good match with Moose at the last Future of Honor despite breaking the ring ropes midmatch. Even busted out a moonsault.

Re: ROH Top Prospect Tournament 2015
I really liked how they made the TPT matter last year by showcasing a good mixture between indy names and less familiar names. This year is a complete disappointment, reads like a future of honor show. Let's just hope they don't put the finals on the PPV, just not worth it with that field of competitors, would just take away valuable space from the PPV card.

They've announced that the finals will take place at the Philly taping on 1/24. Winner gets a shot at the TV title on March 7th in Baltimore.JigsawVs.Jason wrote:I really liked how they made the TPT matter last year by showcasing a good mixture between indy names and less familiar names. On the surface it looks like a disappointing field, but a lot of unfamiliar names, so maybe one or two will surprise me. Hanson did for me last year.
Re: ROH Top Prospect Tournament 2015
Yeah I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt this year because I had never even heard of Hanson and he is awesome.Robareid wrote:On the surface it looks like a disappointing field, but a lot of unfamiliar names, so maybe one or two will surprise me. Hanson did for me last year.

The only real indy name on last year was Andrew EverettJigsawVs.Jason wrote:I really liked how they made the TPT matter last year by showcasing a good mixture between indy names and less familiar names. Corey Hollis had a fair bit of hype behind him too.
Re: ROH Top Prospect Tournament 2015
Rowe also had decent matches on house shows.
