Not a very cool looking venue, but you take what you can get. Should be a good crowd regardless. Only 15 miles from Levi Stadium, but I guess I don't know what traffic and transportation is like in that area.

Re: Supercard of Honor IX in the Silicon Valley
It's in a decent spot. About halfway (give or take) between San Francisco & San Jose/Santa Clara. Like Northwoods_Nightmare said, it's not the most ideal venue, but given the situation with WWE blocking indie promotions from running Santa Clara, sometimes you have to make do with what you're given...
Re: Supercard of Honor IX in the Silicon Valley
Guess they won't get to have a TV taping to go with SCOH this year/
Re: Supercard of Honor IX in the Silicon Valley
Any idea of how many people the venue will be able to fit?

God I hope Styles and the Bucks are available this time. Hoping for but not expecting London.
And a TV taping isn't necessary. The one in NOLA was very medicore and forgettable, largely because the top four singles acts were all banged up from the two SCOH8 main events without even a full 24 hours to heal.

Looking at pictures of this place how are they going to set up?
Re: Supercard of Honor IX in the Silicon Valley
I would think the basketball court or the volleyball court.dhads7161 wrote:Looking at pictures of this place how are they going to set up?
Re: Supercard of Honor IX in the Silicon Valley
Going to be a small set up either way.

Why's that?dhads7161 wrote:Going to be a small set up either way.
Re: Supercard of Honor IX in the Silicon Valley
Looking at pics of the place each part looks rather small the soccer fields, basketball court, and volleyball courts look tiny. and they don't have any permanent seating in the venue. No bleachers near the fields/courts.
Re: Supercard of Honor IX in the Silicon Valley
My guess is they're going to put the ring as close to the center as possible, so that people can fill in all around and get a good spot to see.
I also think they'll bring in bleachers themselves for people. My hopes are they saw how good the show in NOLA looked with those in attendance were stacked up like they were and will do the same next year.

They can work around it I'm sure, good they got a place either way, at this point WrestleMania Weekend is general wrestling weekend, It'd be a shame if ROH weren't in the area on the weekend.
Re: Supercard of Honor IX in the Silicon Valley
So the two Soccer fields are 180 x 80 feet & 150 x 70 feet.
Re: Supercard of Honor IX in the Silicon Valley
They do hold boxing events at this venue on occasion, I suppose that will provide the blueprint for how they will design the set-up.

Meltzer is a Bay Area native, so here's his input:
They also announced the WrestleMania show will be Supercard of Honor on 3/27 at the Sports House in Redwood City, CA. That Sports House is about 25 miles from downtown San Jose, where most of the WrestleMania activities will be taking place. Friday night traffic isn’t the best, but it would still be maybe an hour at worst getting there and 30 minutes back after the show.

I kind of wish they would have gone with a name other than Supercard of Honor here. Purely personal preference but I like repeated names for a few shows a year, but overall enjoy the unique names better for shows like this with a repeat only every once in a while.

Trying to picture the top matches on this show. This is what I'm coming up with, assuming a title change in Vegas and NJPW allowing some of its talents to be available during the Road to Invasion Attack.
Spoiler: show

I would be cool with those matches.supersonic wrote:Trying to picture the top matches on this show. This is what I'm coming up with, assuming a title change in Vegas and NJPW allowing some of its talents to be available during the Road to Invasion Attack.

Does anyone have any info regarding a seating chart for the venue? I'm curious where my section is actually located in relation to the ring.
