SHOW. OF. THE. YEAR. I was so fucking excited I posted this in the NJPW supershow thread lmao.
On a serious note, how the fuck can this not do more buys than FB and BITW? You have AJ, Bucks, Doc n Gun, Joe and Patron. I can't.

Yeah I'm so excited for this show. Even the main event. All the brawls on the tv shows and house shows are getting me amped. Lethal vs Patron is going to be amazing. Bucks/RD and ACH vs Styles will be amazing. Undercard looks really fun! And Samoa Joes first appearance! Like it's insane and they are really pulling out all the stops.

I feel or at least sense this is a ploy by them to pull out a strong buyrate, go back to SBG and say, "guess what? We did this number with the budget you gave us, now imagine if we had more to work with what we could do?" It could also help a lot with talks with networks like Spike TV especially if they can pull a very good buyrate for a promotion like ROH. Something like 15,000+ is around what TNA were doing WITH Spike TV. ROH could pitch that with Spike TV they could do even bigger which could benefit Spike in the long haul.
It's an interesting time to be watching ROH.

So Fios says the PPV is $45. Anybody remember the cost of Final Battle?

Somebody on Reddit said this earlier. They rang their provider and said they wanted SD not HD and it was $35 which is what it says on the posters.GardenStateSaint wrote:So Fios says the PPV is $45. Anybody remember the cost of Final Battle?
Re: ROH to Celebrate 13th Anniversary in LAS VEGAS!
Yeah it seems to be $10 more expensive both ways unfortunately. I'm still ordering HD.

Was it the same pricing for Final Battle? I don't recall as I was there live and didn't order it.The Dragon Saga wrote:Somebody on Reddit said this earlier. It totally depends on your provider. I know a lot of people were saying Final Battle was $35, but for me it was $25 in HD. I'm seeing $35 for Anniversary in HD.
Interesting, it's listed as ROH: Winner Take All. I hadn't heard that one before. Before it is the reDRagon vs Young Bucks special for $8, and it looks like multiple replays of Final Battle and WrestleKingdom during the weekend.

I understand the price, look at the number of fly-ins on this show, they need to get profit somehow.

because people buy PPVs not for wrestlers that are on the shows, but for great matches and great feuds. Don't expect too much, I'm pretty sure they won't reach the 12000 from BITWROHFan25 wrote:SHOW. OF. THE. YEAR. I was so fucking excited I posted this in the NJPW supershow thread lmao.

I don't think anyone (or a really low number of people) buys a PPV if he doesn't know a single wrestler on the card even if the matches are fantastic for someone who follows the company for a long time.JigsawVs.Jason wrote:because people buy PPVs not for wrestlers that are on the shows, but for great matches and great feuds. It's more a combination of both.
The price could be an issue i suppose.

In fact, the EXACT opposite is true. In wrestling, star power means much more than great matches to the vast majority of fans.
Re: ROH to Celebrate 13th Anniversary in LAS VEGAS!
So Comcast has the PPV at $34.99 for SD & $44.99 for HD.

I was thinking without the NJPW shows, Did they ever have a show with this amount of talent before?

My guess would be Romero and Trent, if they'll really be a permanent tag team, as suggested by the dirt sheetsThe Dragon Saga wrote: Plus, whoever these Knights of the Rising Dawn are, who Joe Koff says will be recognizable.

I would happily take that scenario over the Bravado Brothers.

I'll take any scenario over Romero.

I'm not that big on Romero either. You know the old saying, "The lesser of two evils..."
